I was given a Maclaren Techno XT by a friend who had used it when her child was 4. It is in great condition and because of the quality will be great to use for our baby next year. If I had to buy it I would definitely pay the money for it.

Loved my McLaren XT so much I had two. So easy and practical to use, can fold even with bubs in your arms and a dream if you use public transport. Suitable from birth as back rest lays flat, also has extended hood which is great for the wind or sun.

Comfy for children even if bigger. Has lifetime guarantee and is built to last. I bought this after using the McLaren techno xlr and was surprised at there wasn't much different even though the price. Husband love the design anlso other kids love holding the carry handle when walking at side and call it their special handle

I love the Maclaren Xt
A strong sturdy stroller, with great handle height (which is adjustable) perfect for the taller people. It has several reclining positions and a adjustable foot rest making it super comfortable for the little ones. The extendable sun hood makes it perfect for the summmer months and the perfect stroller for your holidays. Very easy to fold down and light to carry and push around!

After trying out another stroller to replace my large travel system I was left dissatisfied until I bought the Maclaren techno xt. A lightweight and easy to steer stroller it really ticks all of the boxes for parents on the run. I found it easy to fold and to carry with one hand (there is a well placed handle on the side) making trips to shopping centres, using public transport and flying a breeze with a toddler (I didn’t even cover the stroller when flying at it showed no signs of damage) . My daughter slept really well in this when out and about thanks to the large hood and ability to fully recline it. The shopping basket was able to cope with a bag of shopping and due to the strong frame I was able to place a light bag over the handles. I could walk on different terrains with this stroller without my daughter complaining about being uncomfortable, she fit in the stroller until age 5 (used for holidays at that age). Well worth the money and I would only have a techno xt for future children!
• 4.25/5
• Strengths:

Easy to fold and steer, durable; (almost) 4 year old daughter still comfy in it

• Weaknesses:

Wheels a little noisy on some ground, but that doesn't matter too much

I bought this buggy when my daughter was 1 because she got too big for the lie down baby pram I was given when expecting her. She will be 4 in November and still loves it. It makes life much easier for me because she is a pretty slow walker (don't worry, she gets plenty of exercise at the park and at her swimming lessons - and in the garden). It has come everywhere with us for the last 3 years, including 2 abroad holidays, and it is going strong. Don't intend to stop using it any time soon as it still works perfectly and Samara likes to sit in it.
The wheels are a bit noisy, but only on uneven/rough ground and it's really not a big issue - hasn't bothered me.

I have used this for both my children and still has life in it, easy to steer, folds up small which is great especially for holidays and storage when not being used. The basket underneath holds plenty also. My youngest preferred going to sleep in this buggy rather than his own bed so must be very comfy and came with rain cover, great value for money.

We’ve had the Cath Kidston version of this buggy for years and it’s still going strong. Had nothing go wrong with it and will still hold my 4 year old if she’s being lazy. My mother in law also has a mclaren XT she’s had for 10 years and it’s still going fine. Great investment, lasts forever

This is a great light weight buggy, I love the fact that the sun shade has a zip that extends to give baby more cover and that the seat pretty much fully reclines but when seat is all way back you can't really get into the basket. buggy is made to last used with my son and now with my daughter.

After much consideration, I decided that the Techno XT would be the umbrella fold stroller I would choose. One of the reasons was my mam used it for my younger brother and absolutely loved it and couldn't recommend it highly enough, he is now 14 and shows how long this pushchair has been around. There's so many positives to the XT such as the large hood perfect for sunny days, the 5 point harness, the extendable handles great for taller people and the suspension which means going over bumps isn't too harsh on the child. There are a few downsides to this stroller such as it being heavy however this will mean it's durable and will last. It also is hard to undo the harness as you have to push both the front and back together but once you have the knack it gets easier but this does mean that it would be impossible for a child to get themselves free which is a good thing.
• 4.25/5

After much research, I decided this was the best buggy for my child as it would allow him to lie flat and it was strongly built which would suit the uneven paths around my neighbourhood. Tilting the back to lie flat is very simple but I found securing the leg/foot rest in place so that it lies flat a little cumbersome. The break is easy to access as it is next to the wheels but this is in an awkward position if you are bumping the buggy up some stairs - often the break would catch on the step and lock the wheels. I was able to overcome this by learning to hold the buggy more upright when going up steps. I love that the hood is so extendable, this is useful in the rain and sunny weather. The pouch at the back has been useful to put bits and bobs and I really like being able to check on my child through the transparent plastic window in hood. All in all I'd recommend but it would be ideal if a few niggles were worked fixed.

Everyone knows that maclaren products are built to last. You get what you pay for as they say. I've had this one and also the major elite. Was never a need to buy another as these last for ever. The chassis is so strong and the fabric is comfortable but durable.

I have bought this pram after I had enough of my huge all included buggy. I needed something that can go through London buses, but with reliable wheels. This for the bill perfectly with my 2 year old. I loved it so much, I kept it for my second child. It is an easy umbrella fold buggy, you can glide between the bus seats without unfolding it ( especially when the child is sleeping). The wheels are new? They are very atrudu and it is a comfy ride for both parent and child. I walk a lot at least 8miles a day and this takes it all fine!
My slight negative is after using it for four years with two children the breaks have in. But this is the only negative comment after such a hard use!!!

I really like this pushchair. After years of getting in and out of the car my giant bugaboo, this pushchair is a doodle to open, close, lift, and I can use with my baby and my toddler. Looks like it is built to last.
