Safety 1st Swivel bath seat

The safety 1st swivel bath seat is made entirely of solid plastic, featuring a ball on the front to entertain baby, and a swivel motion to spin baby round in the bath.
We bought this when our baby outgrew his first bath seat at 6 months, we needed a bathseat which supported him sat up and had heard good reviews about the safety 1st swivel seat.
The first thing I noticed was that the suction cups only work effectively if you stick it to the baths surface before any water goes in, the seat features a maximum water level line, which gave a good indication of the safe level of water for the bath.
When we say baby in it for the first time we noticed he was pretty wobbly and insecure because of how wide the seat is, this wasn’t a huge issue at the time, however it did cause us a couple of problems later on.
It also left some red marks on the backs of his thighs and his nappy area because they were all getting squashed on the unforgiving solid plastic!
The ball on the front helps keep baby distracted however it contains a hole meaning water can get in and sit, which wasn’t ideal!
Water also sits in the main part of the seat between the suctioned bottom plate and the spinning seat.
The spinning mechanism is clever however unless you’ve got a wide bath there isn’t much room for babies legs when spinning, but it does make it easier to wash hair etc.
One con we had was that because of the solid plastic, our babies bum slipped to a side, and he actually got his shoulder stuck under the solid plastic bar so he was essentially wedged in and though I was able to free him quickly this did panic him and me considerably!
Based on this we wouldn’t use one again, and didn’t for my youngest child!

I bought this for my 5mo when she began to sit as she hated her other bath seat . Overall this seat is great for her

Can be hard to clean
She can get her arms under the top and slide down (hazard) but as long as you never leave your child unsupervised which you know there’s no concerns .

Overall I really like this product and it does exactly what it says on the box.

It is so easy to bath baby on my own now that i have this chair.
Maybe nice to use a softer material were babies bum sits instead of plastic, however good thing is that baby doesnt slip in the chair which i thought may happen

I bought this thinking it would be a great buy for my daughter who was 7months at the time of purchase. She loved it, it kept her happy during bath times and she loved being sat up and able to see what was going on. I however didn't agree, underneath the seat becomes so mouldy! I was unable to dry it on a night after bath time due to there been tricky holes I couldn't get to with a towel. It seemed to fill with water and this was impossible to prevent.

This always come in handy for me and my little boy, he also loved the ball on the front and playing with it. We loved the suction pads as we know we the bath seat couldn't slip anywhere so extremely sturdy. However the only thing we did find that after 6 or so months of use there was a water build up underneath and would need taking apart and cleaning out. Overall a brilliant product.

My daughter loved this, as plenty of room for them to move around and play, especially if u have a big baby like me, easy to get child in and out of, in time mine discoloured slightly

Bought this for my LO when he grew out of his little baby bath and it is amazing. He loves it aswell! So easy for him to play whilst I wash him. Highly recommended

This was a great investment for bath time. So easy to clean and use. Baby loved being able to play and splash without me getting in the way holding her. The only down side is babu can slip or slide down the seat making it uncomfortable on there genitals, so this would be better for a baby that can sit up alittle.

Bought this for my little boy on oxygen as developmentally has been behind and he could have a bath unless someone was in the bath with him, this has made life so much easier. It has suction cups for the bottom of the bath, the little one is safe in it as he can't get out of it. It also can stick to the tiles of the shower to dry.

Would definitely recommend this product to anyone with a baby that can.sit up.

Excellent seat for when the little ones are finally sitting on there own but still want/need that bit of support they can sit feel save and play with there toys excellent item well recommended

I love this baby seat, I use it for my 17 month old who won't sit in the bath without having a seat, it sticks into the bath very well and she has plenty of room in it, it also swivels round in the bath

Overall a good value for money. But the seat is very slippery so eventually baby slips down and the middle bar looks very uncomfortable pushing against baby's private parts! Would benefit from having a softer middle bar.

We have used this seat effectively for months. Little one sits in it comfortably and safely. He loves the seat and has the freedom to still reach the toys to play with them without being unsafe. The seat is sturdy and has not come unstuck from water. A great and safe buy.

A great way to keep my little one safe in the bath. Gives her independence to sit alone whilst been watch by myself. A little bit slippy but otherwise good quality.

I have had one of these for my four children they stick to the bottom of bath with strong suckers so you dont have to hold the child while you are bathing them. Also as couple of shapes on front for child to play with .would recommend to anyone no more slipping at bath time

I got one of these seats, he absolutely loves his baths now and he will sit lovely in the chair and he will often playing with the ball on the chair or he will splash loads!! Having this chair is amazing as it means I can have more fun in the bath with him as it’s less bending over and holding him ( I am still watching him and next to him when he’s in the bath) Remember not to never leave your child unattended in the bath!!

Totally disappointment with this product, the seat is very slipy so when baby is playing in the bath is sliding down and the frame is hitting between baby's legs. I had to buy different bath seat more safe for my son.

I had this bath seat for both my older two as I was on my own with them and it was so easy and use and they loved it as they could sit in the bath and play and I could have my hands free to wash them and play too. I couldn't have been without it. It was a godsend to me and was so secure for the kids I am now looking to buy one for my new baby as soon as he is big enough for it. I loved this so much it's a must have in my eyes!

The ball on this seat is a great toy for the baby to play with whilst you wash his hair etc and the suction grips on the bath floor are very strong, giving us great confidence that the seat won’t tip over.
It is hard to reach baby’s bum and legs to wash but it’s lovely to see them enjoy bath time on a different level by being able to sit, alone in the bath tub.

I bought this when my daughter started to wriggle too much in her first bath support but wasn't able to sit unaided. However I only ended up using it once or twice as I didn't find it that easy to get her in and out of it and I was a bit concerned about how clean it was after hearing about others finding mould inside.

Ok I was given this when I had two under two so I could put one in this whilst I tended to my baby in the bath. We used it a few times and left on side to dry out. When I unscrewed the bottom some weeks later I was shocked to find mold and stuff growing in there. I followed a YouTube video to unscrew the bottom swivel bit to find this surprise- as I saw it posted in a mum group and didn’t believe it as only used ours twice and not since.

I used this seat with m7 son when he became to big to use his bath chair. This was a lovely product he loved sitting upright in the bath. Toy on the front kept him amused while in bath. I would never leave my child unattended in any bath seat. Suction to bottom of bath was great didn't move at all. Nice colours really easy to you. Could have done with a little more back support but only because my son loved to move around in the bath.

My little one loved it,gave her the chance to splash around safely! It said that it is for up to 12 months but we are still using it now( she is 15 months). Very pleased with it and I would highly recommend it.

These are amazing . Your baby can sit up and play in tub and you don't have to worry about them going under the water. There easy to clean and the price is great .
