I used this product with my first baby as I was expressing milk in between feeds. i went from a manual pump to this one and it felt so much better. It comes with 2 different speed, and it's very easy to use. I will be using this again with my second son! Highly recommended. - Strengths:

I had the medela swing breast pump 6 years ago with my daughter and now again with my son. With both babies I made/make too much milk so expressing is a must. My son is 23 weeks and I have already used this pump to express over 100 litres of milk. I'm actually expressing as I write this, that is how easy it is. The noise can be annoying and certainly means expressing isn't discreet. The valves are a little temperamental so you have to keep an eye on it so milk doesn't back up into the tube. Otherwise it is brilliant. It is very handy that it can take batteries as well as run off the power, it meant that when I went back to work after having my daughter I could express in my lunch break using the batteries but at home use mains power so I didn't have to spend a fortune on batteries. There are different size cups available, it always comes with a 24mm though which is too big for me so I had to buy the right size for me separately, it would be nice to be able to have a choice when you buy them as they are expensive. - Strengths:

Used with my twins and now my newborn. All features are easy to understand and put into practice. Easy to clean and replacement or extra parts when needed are also easy to get. The pump itself works extremely efficiently with minimal noise which is great when nursing and pumping at the same time. Sturdy quality has seen this product last the test of time and use. - Strengths:

This was the only pump my wife could get on with - It worked well and the batteries lasted a good while. Little one couldn't get on with the teat on the bottle so had to decant into different ones. Was a bit expensive at nearly £100 but when push comes to shove and you get desperate it was the only way to go. - Strengths:

This is a great pump, very simple to use, with the 2 phases pumping to imitate baby’s suction.
Breast shields of different size can be purchased separately, and although they are relatively pricey, I’d recommend you get them as it makes a difference on the pumping efficiency and your own confort too.
I really liked that switching from the manual Medela Symphony is so simple: all parts are 100% compatible, including the expensive accessories. - Strengths:

This pump was a life saver for me, we needed to express to give our baby medicine, I was apprehensive to use at first as I was worried it would hurt but I was so wrong, it was comfortable and pain free, and after a few goes really really effective! Would recommend to anyone wanting to express. - Strengths:

This breast pump is very easy to use and put together.
Depending on what time of day your using it, it can take a while.
It’s very gentle on your breast. The settings can be adjusted so it will never hurt.
It’s very pricey. Luckily I had vouchers and saved a bit with staff discount. My advice, get it as a present!

I switched from a manual pump to this one and it was the best thing I’ve done! It’s comfortable and easy to use, and also pain free. You can put batteries in it so it can be mobile which is great when coupled with the Medela bra, you can get on with things around the house at the same time! It’s Important to get the right sized breast shield, I was using the one that came as default, once I switched size the pumping was a lot more effective. It’s easy to clean and easy to get spare parts should you need to replace anything in the future. - Strengths:

I bought this pump after using a different brand. It was much more effective and was very reliable for daily use. The pump is comfortable and, despite being quite loud as many are, collected a good amount of milk at each sitting. The pump comes with the calma teat and despite the best efforts of me and my baby we couldn't get him to drink from it. It does say a few attempts may be needed but we had no success. - Strengths:

I found this great for expressing, and the only pump I could really get milk using. It can be quite loud but is small and easy to pack away etc. You can seperate it all so it’s easy for sterilising. It is quite pricey but worth it in my opinion. - Strengths:

My baby was born with the tongue tie and I found myself obliged to pick a breast pump. I used a bigger version of this portable one and it worked amazingly and that pushed me to buy it.
The price is quite expensive but it’s highly suggested by nurses and midwives.
It’s very light and easy to assemble but if not put properly it leaks very easily.
The pump has different speeds and different suction intensity but never painful. On the little tube, when it’s washed, water tends to stay trapped in and it gets a bit annoying.
Personally I liked to use ithis breast pump and i also believe is one of the best on the market but I was really not impressed by the leak and the holding it constantly. - Strengths:

This is the only pump that I found that worked and didn’t cause me any pain. It’s a shame that it’s not more affordable so more people can try it, it’s such an amazing pump. I liked how all the parts are readily available so if something goes wrong there’s no having to buy a new pump or wait for lengthy online delivery, everything is available in mothercare. - Strengths:

I had a very old medella double electric pump from a friend which was amazing. Sadly it eventually gave up the ghost (after 3 different owners, 4 pregnancies and a LOT of use). I used the medala swing to replace it and have to say I was disappointed.
I found that this pump was clunky to use, and the suction simply never got quite strong enough. The rhythm was odd as well.
It took me half an hour to produce less than a third of what the older style had managed and I was simply wasting time trying to express.
Overall I would not recommend this product. - Strengths:

I fully recommend this product. I did lots of research before buying this pump. It’s a fantastic item. Very reliable, no messing around, easy to use. This item helped me to express milk for as long as I needed it. My sister bought one as well, and something went wrong with it, and the problem was dealt with quickly and efficiently. - Strengths:
