I loved this breast pump when I first started using it, I could get so much milk off in such a short space of time. However, my baby is now 5 months old, and the pump was used a lot for the first 3 months. After about a month of using the pump started to play up, it started sucking my milk down the long clear tube and into the battery compartment! This has happened around 5 times, and since then the pump makes a funny noise and doesn’t seem to pull as much milk. If the setting is a little too high, it does hurt. - Strengths:

This pump is very easy to use & excellent for comfort, there are so many levels of pump strengths that it’s easy to find the level that is best for you. I can’t get 6oz from one boob in about 10mins with this pump. That would’ve taken hours with a manual one! - Strengths:

This breast pump is very effective, it has a few functions which allows you to select how strong the pull is when it is on which makes expressing comfortable.
It is battery operated and also has a wire for the mains allowing flexibility.

Great pump. Needed to get a pump as my baby needed gaviscon so had to Express.
Manual pumps were not working for me. This was comfortable and easy to use. Got a successful amount of milk off first time. Great product. - Strengths:

Love this pump! There are a few different settings to choose from and it’s powerful. It doesn’t make that horrible sound like most other breast pumps do. It’s easy to transport, and it’s great that it can be operated by batteries or a mains cable. Would definitely recommend. - Strengths:

I got this pump to be able to express alongside breast feeding my little one. I got along with it straight away, and with 2 cup sizes it would suit basically everyone. The parts clean really easily and are easy to put back together ready to go again. One of the down sides is that it is a little noisy. I usually pump at home so don't really have to worry about it, but it is a little distracting when you're trying to have a conversation. However all in all, its a very good pump and am very happy with it. - Strengths:

I used this pump to help increase my milk supply. It did the job and was useful to have the battery powered option so I could carry it around. However it is still not hands free unless you buy a bra which holds it in place.
The parts are not the smallest but they are practical and easy to use.
I should note that I ended up upgrading to the Medela Symphony which is far more powerful and quicker at pumping when time is of the essence! In future I would use the Symphony due to the time it saves when you have a baby to look after. - Strengths:

Pump has a massage setting then the pumping at various strengths. Gets alot of milk out and is very comfy to use.
Easy to clean as there are minimal parts.
Can be battery or power operated.

Brilliant pump, mainly used on the mains power as I found it stronger but when required to use with batteries it did the job and the battery life was very good.
If I was to go again I would possibly purchase a double pump just for the time aspect this is fine for first time mother when you have all the time on your hands but if you had a baby and a toddler a double pump would be more time efficient. - Strengths:

Really easy to use, great pump.
Lots of suction strengths, really easy to clean and great that you can customise the size flange needed. Takes some time to pump with having to do one breast at a time, which is fine if you are breastfeeding at the same time. I wish I had bought the double pump for this reason but the price is really expensive the main downside of this pump - Strengths:

Excellent pump, very easy to use and clean. No pain and fits very well.
Loud but not enough to cause a problem. As pumping can be time consuming if I were to buy one again I would get the double pump. - Strengths:

I wasn't sure which pump to buy, but decided to get the medela because I'd been using the hospital one. I'm so glad I got this one! There's so many interchangeable parts that I used the parts I got from the hospital with it and have kept the other bits for later use.
The price was off putting initially, but it was very worth it. It's easy to work, assemble and clean and gets used multiple times a day.
A lot of reviews say this model is noisy, but as I only use it at home, the noise doesn't bother me at all. - Strengths:

Been a great product for expressing milk alongside breastfeeding. It is comfortable to use and easy to sterilise the pieces. Great the batteries or the mains electric can be used so it is portable. Only negatives it is a little loud if your out in public and if your flow comes a little quick the milk goes up the air tube witch is difficult to clean - Strengths:

I have been using this breastpump for about 16 months now, It's so easy to use, first of all it comes on with a setting where it will gently suck to stimulate a letdown then after a couple of minuets it starts to pump as normal and does it's work. Of course you can also just skip straight to the normal pumping setting by pressing the button. It has buttons to change the suction from high to low depending on what you want. It's also so easy to clean and even comes with a dust bag to keep it safe and clean. I would 100% reccomend this breastpump I'm so happy with it! - Strengths:

I used this product for my son (7 years ago) and currently using it again for our newborn daughter. The design is lovely and the machine is easy to use. The 'pre-massage' setting is a must to ensure you're being gentle to your breasts. The pump collects a lot of milk in a short amount of time for me - I could in fact do with a bigger bottle to collect milk! (I believe Medela do sell other accessories, inc storage bottles/packets separately).
I like that you can use this product on-the-go with batteries - we use reusable batteries, but it would be good if this product was supplied with rechargeable batteries and a charger!
The two negatives of this pump are the cost (which I can forgive for the amount it's used and kept us all sane!) and the noise. It does get slightly louder as you go up in suction; the noise doesn't bother anyone in our family - just me (I worry its annoying for others!). - Strengths:

I returned to work after 10 months of breastfeeding and using a manual pump and the medela saved my breastfeeding journey! I wish I had bought it sooner it is so convenient, easy to use and easy to clean and expresses milk more effiently than the manual I had, perfect for expressing during work or with an impatient baby wanting your attention. I would recommend this to any new mum and any breastfeeding mum. Don't wait 10 months like I did! - Strengths:

This medela breast pump is easy to assemble and easy to clean,it comes with a drawstring storage bag to keep everything together. Being able to use it with mains and battery makes it easy to use on the go. I used the industrial version in hospital so bought the motor from eBay for a personal version. It's strong enough to get milk out for building up my freezer stash. Small enough to take with you and is mains operated so don't need batteries. - Strengths:

Read so many good reviews on this so thought I’d give it a go.. for the price I was disappointed. I feel like some of the manual pumps are better than this. This has a strong suction but for me I feel like it takes ages to get a little milk an issue I’ve not had with other products. I like how it can be mains or battery operated but again the batteries need changing often. For me there is cheaper alternatives that do a better job. - Strengths:

Whilst I had the electric pump from the start until I broke my manual pump from every day use I only used the manual one. Reason for this was I kept getting milk backing into the tubes.
I had to call Medela support to find out this was likely due to how I sat and how strong I had the pump pressure.
For this pump to work, you have to always lean forward and only pump enough that you milk can flow out as fast as it comes out. Any build up would milk backing into tube.
Luckily the parts were interchangeable so I can reuse the connector, funnel and bottle as spares.
Hope I explained well. - Strengths:

I was loned this pump from my hospital when my baby was in neonatal, and compared to a hand pump this was a god send! It pumped a good quantity of milk in a short time, as well as not being uncomfortable. The fact it’s electric made pumping effortless. Highly recommend - Strengths:

Breastfeeding didn’t work for me and my daughter so I solely expressed and gave by bottle. The medela swing enabled me to solely give my daughter breastmilk without the need for formula. It was brilliant, it’s a efficient pump and can be used discretely if on the go, I would often use it in the car when my partner was driving. It’s easy to clean and dismantle and the noise that comes with all electric pumps isn’t too bad, my husband could sleep through it. It’s well worth the money and works out much cheaper than months of formula. - Strengths:

This was a life saver for me as I had a csection so found it hard to hold baby to latch on all the time so I expressed a lot. Easy to change settings from slow to fast suction. I always used it on the plug lead rather than use batteries but it’s very short. Just be careful when u put bottles down as sometimes they can tip over if still connected and milk falls out easily. Very lightweight to hold the electric bump and small enough to put in a bag if travelling etc. - Strengths:

I found this pump easy to use although I found the process of pumping milk difficult. If you are on your own pumping milk and looking after the baby at the same time it isn’t very practical. You need to lean forward enough so the milk flows down into the bottle, this means it is difficult to hold the baby at the same time. The pump is easy to understand what the buttons will do and what the led means. You can only pump from one breast at a time though. - Strengths:
