I purchased a two pack, one plain navy and one navy and white striped from mothercare. I wore the navy one whilst in hospital in labour and it was perfect, did just the job, the length was mid thigh, not too sort (I am 5ft 5ich) and I felt well covered. The buttons were very easy to open one handed to breastfeed, it was my first time breast feeding and it helped me feel at ease and comfortable. I would highly recommend. Maybe a pack of 2 darker colours without white would be more useful to us new mummies straight after birth, i didn't wear my striped one as I felt self conscious about leaks etc. - Strengths:

I got these on sale for about £18 which was a fantastic buy! I wore the black one when in labour. It was fab! I could go without underwear as it covered well, the buttons made it very easy to be hooked to machines (I had to have antibiotics on a drip) and be covered up at the same time. When baby arrived I was able to open a few buttons and breastfeed from the get go! The midwife had said they have to rip nighties if there are no buttons so keep that in mind when packing your labour bag. I found them very comfortable and no stains etc show up thanks to the dark colours!! Fab! - Strengths:
