This car seat left my newborn quite hunched up and didn’t feel very padded. No attachments for newborn. Product didn’t get as much use as I had hoped for the cost .

Been using this carseat for a couple of months now and my baby seems really comfortable and secure. We also purchased the simplifix base to use with this after trying to fasten a seatbelt around it as it was just too difficult to get the belt around it whilst leaning in the car. This carseat feels well made and as though it will protect my baby. It didn't cost alot, quite an average price for a car seat.

I got this car seat when I got my pram and I’m so happy I did! It’s absolutely brilliant and my little one seems so comfortable in it. As soon as she gets in it she falls asleep. I have used this since we bought my daughter home from hospital and she’s now 7 months & I will continue to use it as long as I can. It is a little heavy but it’s very sturdy so I would rather it be a little heavy than light and not as sturdy. I use this car seat along side the silver cross isofix and they are perfect together! I have recommended this car seat to a few people who have also said how good it is. I am so happy with this product and if I was to have another baby I would definitely buy this again!

I got this car seat and noticed straight away it was very heavy to others I have had
With new born it didn’t seem to hold them in a comfortable position and had to constantly readjust and ended up rubbing the back of her head
    Would not recommend this seat

Bought this to add to the Silvercross pram/pushchair which we had so we could us it as a travel system. Can not fault. Straps are easy to adjust, easy to buckle and the handle is easy to maneuver. We did not get the isofix base for this as it's actually so easy to strap in using the seatbelt and takes a matter of seconds. Well padded and little girl always looks comfortable. Quite heavy, but show me a car seat that isn't these days, would rather that and be safe. Would 100% recommend and our she's again.

    • Strengths:

Perfect size for newborns. Handy that it fits into the pram wheels. Small, doesn’t take up much room

    • Weaknesses:

Heavy when babies get bigger. Bulky and cumbersome. Hard to tighten straps when fixed in car.

In the beginning with my newborn I loved this car seat. She fit it snuggly and it was so handy that it could be attached to the pram wheels for quickly popping into shops. It also doesn’t take up much room in the car and when used with isofix it is super easy. However when my baby was bigger I found this car seat to be really heavy and bulky. When tightening the straps (I found this to be quite stiff and difficult) unless you did it with one hand and held the car seat with the other hand it would rock and sometimes tip over. My straps also ended up uneven for some reason and therefore wouldn’t tighten properly. I found it really heavy to get in and out of the car but when I left it in and tried to tighten the straps I found this really difficult and found it wouldn’t tighten fully so it had to be removed from the car to get baby in properly. All in all I will use this again for my newborn but will quickly move to a bigger seat when they are a couple of months.

This product looks lovely and I’m sure it’s super safe! But the weight is something else, I’m pretty sure you have to be a professional weight lifter to carry this into the car with a child in it!

I do love this car seat as does my baby i've never had any fuss putting him in. It's well cushioned and spacious for our chunky baby. The seat itself is quite heavy but it's durable and after testing my nephew who is 1 year old now and still fits I can see it will lasst a long time.so well worth the money! The hood is rather small I would say that's the biggest weakness for me but he's not in it that long to need the hood at all times.

My little ones love this, sometimes used to cry in different car seats

    • Weaknesses:

      Heavy and uncomfortable

    • Comfortable

    • Easy to use
    • Design
Car seat is OK for practicality when being used to attach to an isofix base or a pram but unfortunately the overall design of this car seat is low. It is very awkward to put the straps over their arms and my daughter immediately cries in discomfort when I am trying to put her in it as she seems to be very ‘wedged in’. Her head sits into her neck which is obviously not good and her arms are very limited to be able to move around - overall I would not recommend this car seat unless you use it on short journeys so that baby is not in it for too long.
  • 3.38/5
    • Strengths:

      Cosy and perfect sizing.

    • Weaknesses:

The cover doesn’t stretch to cover baby fully from rain. Also found it heavy.

    • Value for money
    • Easy to use
    • Design
The car seat done it’s job and was also really easy to attach on and off the pram chassis as well as in and out a car. However I found it could feel heavy and the fabric didn’t come out to cover baby enough for the protection from rain. This was a little disappointing as I’ve seen other car seats that pulled that little bit further for Sun and rain protection.

We bought this car seat when my baby was born to use for the first few months. We haven’t had a single issue with the car seat at all. It’s very comfortable and my baby will happily sit in it whilst we’re out for lunch etc! He will sleep in the car every time which guarantees he gets his naps if we are out which is great. I love it!
  • 4.50/5
    • Strengths:

Lovely and cosy, easy to use, clips onto isofix and travel system

    • Weaknesses:

Hood is short and the car seat itself very heavy

    • Easy to use
    • Design
This car seat is lovely and is very cosy. My baby has absolutely loved being in it from day 1, whether in the car or on the travel system. It clips onto isofix and the travel system ever so easily and I truly recommend it as it makes getting in and out of the car a dream.
My only troubles are that it is heavy, which I understand it must be for the safety of the baby, but isn't easy to carry a heavy car seat and changing bags etc when you're trying to get out of the door. And finally, the hood is very short. So when the sun is shining or the wind is blowing, I automatically go to pull the hood but it's short so my baby is very open to it all!

    • Strengths:

Price was competitive, bought in a deal with the wayfarer buggy

    • Weaknesses:

Uncomfortable for baby, difficult to get baby in because of parts

    • Comfortable

    • Easy to use
    • Design
I bought the simplicity car seat because it came in a package deal with my Henley wayfarer buggy, but now wish I had a better, lay flat car seat. I hate this product from the moment I put my baby in it when leaving the hospital, till now (nearly 3 months down the line) I avoid having to go out in the car because of how uncomfortable it is for my baby it puts her in a dangerous seated position where her head is wedged against her chest (this puts a strain on their breathing), it is very awkward to get her in because she is uncomfortable and there is lots of little cushioned parts which get in the way again forcing her into an unnatural position, would absolutely not recommend this product, it may look appealing because of the price but I would recommend doing your research wish I had originally bought a lay flat car seat much more natural and safer for newborns!
  • 3.63/5

      Angle makes it look uncomfortable

    • Comfortable

    • Design
I received this car seat as part of my Silver cross travel system. Lovely colours to match my pram and able to fit into my wheels which is very handy.
The older my baby gets the more comfortable I feel he looks in the seat. When he was a new born, due to the seat being more upright, he looked very squashed. Although he now looks comfortable, when he now falls asleep we sometimes get a bit of a bobbing head. Although quality and easy of use are good, if not included with my travel system, I think I would of bought a different car seat.

This car seat is so convenient as it attaches to the buggy frame. However, I do find it really heavy to carry around. Overall it does the job and keeps my baby safe. I think she finds it comfy as she falls asleep in her car seat all the time.

We got this car seat in a 10 piece bundle including our pram and other accessories. I love the look of the Silvercross products however the practicality of these products aren’t great. This car seat is extremely heavy even before you strap your little one in and that can be a struggle, I don’t find it very easy to use. This product is good for quick trips as with car seat adapters you can attach it to the pram instead of exchanging your little one from the car seat to carry cot or buggy, but you can only do this on quick trips as it can dangerous for them to be in this product for longer than an hour at a time.
  • 3.75/5
    • Strengths:

    • Weaknesses:

Not much support for newborn, can’t lie back

    • Comfortable
    • Value for money
    • Easy to use
    • Design
Basic car seat, nothing fancy but for the price you can’t expect much. There isn’t much support for a new born so our baby looks a little scrunched up when sat in it and quickly gets uncomfortable. Hood doesn’t pull over enough so has little effect against sun or rain and the inside feels a little plastic when the cover isn’t on. Just a basic cheap car seat that does the job it needs to with no fancy additions.
  • 4.00/5

After c-section you’re not supposed to lift anything heavier than your baby for at least the first 6 weeks. I found it impossible to carry this from the front door to the car which is about 7 steps from my front door. It was too heavy when my baby was tiny and has always/will always be a two hand job. All is well when out and about though as it clips on to the pram chassis very easily and means you don’t have to disturb them once they’ve settled with the vibration of the car ?

    • Strengths:

I got this car seat as it would fit into my pram. We only got about 2 months out of it though as my baby kept flopping his head forward in it when asleep and I became worried. We replaced to the joie 360 and haven't had this problem since.
I felt when he was newborn too his head wasn't really supported.
It was an expensive car seat (along with isofix) and thinking about it I should of chose something else. It says it goes up to like 12kg but there is no way my boy would fit in it now even at 10kg he'd be too squished.
It was also heavy to carry around.
  • 2.75/5

    • Design
This car seat disappointed us during the newborn stage as it didn’t support baby’s head and we ended up having to slit rolled Muslins on either side so support babies head and stop his head from flopping forward.
This being said as he grew and gain head control the seat was good and he was comfortable. We would take advice on how to support newborns head from others of we go on to have another child.

We bought this as part of the silver cross simplicity travel system! I do like it! Although a little heavy to carry by itself. It feels sturdy and safe for my little new born! It comes with insert for newborn which is nice and padded, and appears to provide comfort for baby! Easily attached into car isofix bade! With the aid of 2 adapters it slides easily onto the silver cross carriage! Baby appears to sleep comfortably inside same! Love the little matching cover which attaches easy with two elastic straps! Keeps baby cosy! Sun/ rain cover could b prehaps an inch or 2 bigger to give baby a bit more coverage! I have the car seat in chilli red colour which matches travel system! I think it looks smart! Loved this product! Use it everyday
