Haakaa Silicone Breast Pump & Flower Stopper

I was gifted this product and I was very excited to use it as it meant I wouldn’t have to use the manual pump. It is a lovely design and fits well and is comfortable to wear. Sadly it didn’t work very well for me but I love the idea of this. I needed to make sure I had a lot of expressed milk as my baby wouldn’t latch. But if you are using this just to catch let down then it’s brilliant.

I got my Haakaa at my baby shower and went on to buy two more. When I first bought my son home I was pumping with a hospital grade pump so my husband could do some feeds but I was exhausted and pumping was an extra effort I just couldn’t keep up with.
I used my Haakaa and got 4oz the first time I used it.
You create a suction on the breast you’re not feeding from and it catches the let down that would leak out otherwise and encourages a bit more to come out.
Some tips
The HaaKaa has to be completely dry to get a good suction so sterilise and dry before use.
If you cannot see any milk going into the bottle try repositioning the HaaKaa.
I decanted my milk into a bottle and kept in the fridge. Milk can be mixed when it’s at the same temperature so after the next feed I would put the HaaKaa in the fridge and then merge them in the bottle later in the day.
I was saving all my milk up in the day for my husband to use giving my son a bottle in the evening while I went to get some well needed rest.
I sold my breast pump and just use my Haakaa as it’s easier and doesn’t require any extra effort or time.
Highly recommend if you’re breastfeeding, I purchase as baby shower gift all the time now!

Brilliant to use while feeding the baby on one breast and catching excess leakage. Easy to clean and easy to pump with one hand. Fantastic product

This is the best thing I ever owned while BF. So easy to use and clean. simply squeeze the bottle and apply over your nipple and let go.. that's it! You can feed your lil one from the other breast at the same time or just attach while your baby is sleeping and it collects all your free flow without doing a thing ?. So much easier and comfortable than using a pump inbetween feeds.

Wow, where do I start with this product...
Firstly, bought from The Green Group Collective at the bargain price of £12.99 with the stopper and FREE breastpads it really is a wonderful product. It is so so easy to use (the instructions weren’t even needed) and I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of milk that was collected (I was able to bag and freeze for later). I really couldnt believe how easy it was, gently squeezing the product before application provided a suction to the breast (this made it hands free!!!) and it stayed in place until I wanted to remove it. I haven’t tried it while breastfeeding but I think this would be really easy. The product cleans well and is only small so storage is super easy. So glad I bought this ?

Amazing product!
I originally bought it assuming it would save the milk I lose in leakage and was expecting it to get the amount which my nursing pads would usually hold whilst I was feeding from the other breast. But was amazed on the amount it was able to get (1 to 3 ounce per feed from the other breast depending on the interval during the feed/how full the breast is).
It’s very easy to clean - only one piece so no hassle at all.
I wish I had known about this earlier. I know it is not a replacement for an electric pump, but I have not used mine a lot since I got this. As I am able to secure 1-3 ounce per feed (almost 6-8ounces in a day).
