We have the ameda pump on loan from our nicu unit at the hospital. It is a hospital grade pump and I would say is more efficient than most other shop bought. I do have a branded electric pump that we purchased but I prefer the ameda that I have on loan.
You can use any bottles that are standard neck size, larger neck bottles don't attach.
The parts all seperate and are easy to clean and can be sterilised with your bottles by whichever method you use ( I cold water sterilise). The pump comes with 2 funnels incase you need different size for your breasts the funnel inserts make each side smaller. If you freeze milk in bags these funnels are useful to insert into bottle the pour milk from bag into funnel which goes into bottle (less wastage of that precious milk)
The pump itself is very efficient although slightly noisy not enough to disturb sleeping baby or partner. The dials can be fiddly if expressing from both breaSt's, I usually do the side that baby hasn't fed from and if not had big feed will try other side. - Strengths:

A fantastic product and a real life saver. Brought one of sale in Boots after months of using and struggling with a manual pump. Completely changed how I felt about pumping - the Ameda was easy to assemble, very easy to clean and super easy to use with multi-functions on speed and strength. Used mostly when I transitioned from maternity leave back to work. Fit's nicely in a lunch bag so easily transportable.
