I love wooden toys as I feel the child gets more stimulation from imagination than bright lights.
This has lots of shapes to sort and lots of different colours to help with teaching.
Only two downsides one that the lid isn't fixed so it falls off when the toy is turned.
Two my little girl likes the bite toys and unfortunately the lovely bright pain has chipped on a lot of the pieces, due to it being a childs toy the paint is non toxic but it's still not ideal.
I bought this toy a few months ago and it has always been a huge hit with my daughter. Firstly, I love that it is wooden as we have quite a few wooden toys. She loves sorting and will spend ages simply putting the shapes into the box and tipping them out again. She’s slowly learning that specific shapes will only fit through specific holes which is great for her hand eye co-ordination and fine motor skills. A great toy for a bargain price!
We gave this to my son for his first birthday and he love it! It’s really nicely made and it has so many shapes to sort! The only down side is that one shape didn’t fit one of the wholes but we had so many it didn’t matter. Also the lid falls off when you turn it over but apart from that it’s a fabulous toy!
This shape sorter has more shapes than other sorter that I've seen on the market. The price is great too, especially for a wooden toy, which are often much more expensive than plastic alternatives.
The shapes are the prefect size for my 1 year old to hold which give a sensory function in addition to the shape sorting / problem solving and motor skills development.
My son had this for his birthday, he loves shapes & this was perfect. Learning new shapes, seeing which one fits where, the colours & with it being wooden, it's easy to clean. I'd definitely recommend this to keep your child entertained!
This has been a great investment from baby’s first grasp, all the way to toddlerhood. Has taught baby fine motor skills, shapes, colours and stacking. One of baby’s favourites!
Bright and attractive shape sorter. Develops fine motor skills whilst enabling child to recognise shapes. Extends concentration span as it keeps child entertained for long periods
The cube is a great shape to make it easy for babies to try and get the right shape, my grandaughter is a bit young at the moment 11months but I can see she enjoys my interaction with her playing. Will last a long time and I thought cheaper then the plastic toys you get nowadays.
We were given 3 different wooden shape sorter sets for my son and this is far and away the best and his favourite.
I love that there are so many different shapes and colours in this set compared to all the others we have, it holds his attention for far longer. Even though it's relatively cheap it feels sturdy and all the blocks are solid and brightly coloured. The blocks are just the right size for small hands, big enough to hold easily and small enough to encourage greater control. The lid is hinged so it can't go missing but it's easy for the child to do itself. If you want a wooden shape sorter this is a must and won't brake the bank.
This is a lovely little toy for a good price. We quickly swapped from plastic toys to wooden toys in our house and my little boy enjoys playing with this. It's nice and bright and colourful with chunky shapes, perfect for motor skills. The only fault I can find is that some shapes are repeated where as other are not.
Good price and keeps my 18 month old interested for a good amount of time.
Theres alot of shapes so adult help is needed sometimes as it is a bit tricky.
Feels sturdy and well made. Would be better if the lid closed properly to keep all the shapes safe.
All in all, a great little toy for toddlers. Good value for money too.
This toy is really well made, all my children love playing with it, it teaches them shapes and problem solving and the bright colours keeps them interested. Great value for money.
Wooden toy cube / shape sorter. The shapes are coloured wood. The cube box also oh as a lid so that you can get the shapes in and out aswell as through the correct shape gaps
