Large basket for shopping, not too bulky, easy to assemble.

I’ve been using the pioneer for just under 4 months now and I love it! It’s quick and easy to set up when out in the car and my daughter loves being in it. When we were using the carrycot she would always look very comfortable and slept well in it. Now using the seat unit and she loves watching everyone go by!
When I used to walk to the shops and use the carrycot I found there wasn’t much space to make use if the basket without taking the carrycot off or just placing my shopping into the basket without a bag, shopping is much easier now with the seat unit.
Grows with child, sturdy, reliable and fashionable.
Weaknesses:
Bulky and heavy

So happy with the look of the pushchair, people commented on it often. Bought whilst on offer so got a free car seat which was great. It goes up and down easily, is sturdy and could be taken on any journey. Yet because it’s sturdy it can be quite heavy in comparison to other pushchairs. Used for all ages and my child is big yet had plenty of space.
When the carrycot is i you can’t fit my changing bag under it I have to take the carrycot off first

I absolutely love love love this pram
I have it in grey (exclusive to mothercare)
I get so many compliments on it, it pushes incredible and is made really well. I love the fact is has a sun shade attached that can be poped away when not in use.
So light and easy to fold, also fits perfectly in a small boot

The handle sometimes feels flimsy

We love ours in electric blue. So easy to steer, easy to fold, easy to ad adapters for maxi cosi. Probably takes 30 second to take down and fold. I wish you could fold it with the seat unit on without the seat unit sticking up.
I had this with my first son. It was a very good looking pram and great for a travel system. It is a heavy base but sturdy. Its big when folded and need alot of space. Has lovely accessories available and great colour options.
In love this product despite my one bug bear regarding the folding. I always find myself having to put the seat on the ground to get the wheels out of the boot which isnt ideal in wet weather but i suppose this is the same for other travel systems which is why in wouldn't be put off buying the product again.
I love the styling of this product and it is really easy to steer and manoeuvrer with one hand. The basket is a good size to store shopping whilst you can also balance a changing bag on the edge as it hangs over the handles.
Easy to fold down and change from carry cot to car seat etc.
Weaknesses:
Not so easy to steer over bumps and up pavements. Quite a bumpy ride at times.

I chose this pram for my little baby boy and I really like it. It is a lovely looking pram and easy to assemble the different pieces, fold down and put up. It is quite large so a big car boot is needed and I had to keep the carry cot on my back seat but not a problem as I only have one child.
We got this pram/travel system for our first baby. We choose it after trying different pram. In the end we liked and bought it as it was easy to move and turn etc, chassis was light and easy to put up and down and it had a carry cot and seat unit. The carry cot is lovely, my baby loves lying in it, the cover comes over quite a bit which I like and they are well protected from the elements. We also bought car seat, isofix was easy to install and seat is easy to pu in car and check green lights.
Overall I love this pram. Such good quality and really stylish. I found that it’s easy to set up and folds down reasonable small. Lovely to push. Having a large good is great for bright days as well as privacy. Made to last.
Found this to be a really good product but was difficult to get into my car boot at times. The straps on the pushchair part are fiddly also I would say
Good sturdy pushchair that is nice to push and comfortable for baby in both the pram and pushchair

I love my pioneer, it looks nice, it's sturdy and easy to steer and has a good large basket. The front wheels can sometimes get stuck on uneven surfaces but my baby has been comfy in the system since birth

I brought the whole package of this pushchair which was over £1000, it is such a beautiful looking parm but really isn’t that practical as it’s really big and also the straps for the pushchair part are so big they don’t even fit my 18month old nephew! I’d definitely change it if I could

This travel system is good quality and definitely built to last. It is stylish and can be used in an array of terrains. It can be used from birth with the carry cot and the main seat can be both parent and world facing. Downside is that it is quite heavy and large, making it difficult to store.
Overall ok pushchair I feel because of the brand it’s priced too high for what u get. The carry cot and base very easy to use although the base is very bulky and takes up my whole boot (Ford Focus) the pushchair part is so uncomfortable and looks cheap. I wish I have opted for a cheaper pushchair as there’s nothing special about the silver cross.
Steers well and nice to push. Easy to swap on pushchair, carrycot and car seat.
Weaknesses:
Can be awkward to fold - basket always hits the ground, getting dirty.

I love the look of this Pram, classic and simple. It has wheels with good tread and good suspension for all terrains. It can be a bit awkward to fold down, always meaning the basket hits the ground - which is not ideal when out in the wet/mud. The hood has a sun visor and clear panel to peek through which is handy, however it doesn’t come very far down, to protect baby from wind or to make it dark for baby to sleep!
Silvercross wayfarer is a nice pram that is build to last my only problem I have with it is that it is too big for my boot and so could be smaller in size but nice pram
From the basket size to the smoothness of steering I love it all!

Not lightweight, a little bulky at times.

If I had to pick again I would pick this buggy. I have friends who have recently transferred their little ones into a more lightweight buggy for ease.. but not me, I will be keeping my little one in here for as long as possible. I love how easy it is to use, the giant basket for shopping, the comfortability for my little one, with a great range of accessories.. what more could I want!!
Large shopping basket, great size carrycot, easy to steer
Weaknesses:
Access to basket blocked by carrycot, not good with kerbs, the straps don’t adjust very well.

So I’ve been using the Silver Cross Pioneer for almost 6 months and was keen for this to be my pram of choice. Now I’ve used it for this long would I be ask keen to recommend it...? Probably not. Don’t get me wrong it has some great plus points but equally it has some very poor ones.
I’ll take you through what I found to be great with this pram.
1. The colour packs can be changed, you bought it in blue for your baby? Hey presto it can be changed to red/purple/yellow/grey etc and it’s like a new system all over again!
2. The shopping basket is huge! You can fit a whole car boot under there (well you can’t by you catch my drift, massive!)!
3. The carrycot is a good size, most prams I viewed the carrycots were tiny and having a winter baby I didn’t want her to outgrow it too early so she could stay snuggled!
4. It’s smooth to steer on flat terrain, it fairs well on grass and gravel too.
5. Easy to open chassis and fold back down.
6. Most car seats can be used with this with adapters.
7. Adjustable handle height. I’m 5ft 9, my husband 6ft 2 and my Nan who uses it is a teeny 4ft 11 and all of us are able to use it no problems!
As you can see there are some great advantages to this pram. Now for what I thought wasn’t so good.
1. So the flip side of the good sized carrycot is the fact that it’s so good it basically shuts off the whole shopping basket and unless you’re willing to buy slimline items or take the whole carrycot off every time you shop (baby and all), you’re not getting any shopping in there until you change to the seat.
2. The wheels we great on most surfaces, however, even the smallest of kerbs were an issue for the wheels of the pioneer. Going down, no issue at all, worked as it should. Going up? No way! I’ve given myself whiplash a few times because I think it’s going to make it up 3/4 of an inch of kerb or even less but it just can’t do it!
3. Once baby is into the seat part of the pram the straps become an issue, my baby isn’t the largest but she’s by no means tiny and the straps are just too long! They cannot be tightened at the back of the seat to keep her in place and they just hang there like two limp laces. I’ve had to get padding for her straps just so I can use it. Not good at all and definitely not safe.
4. Size. It’s not compact at all and if you’re using the carrycot it’s cumbersome. My car isn’t small but it takes up my whole boot, even with the wheels taken off it makes zero difference. When the seat was attached I thought it would be better, nope, still huge and still taking up my boot.
So as you can see, the good points are more plentiful than the bad but the bad points are game changers for most people buying a pram.
Overall if I were to buy another pram, would I choose a Silver Cross Pioneer? From a money saving point of view, yes because I can change the colour pack and save a fortune. If I was a first time mum? No! Don’t do it, there are lots of prams at a fraction of the price that would do better.
Looks nice, robust construction, folds easy, good from newborn to 3 years
Weaknesses:
Doesn’t steer well, hard to get up and down curbs. Paint work on frame easily scratched

I bought this Pram before the birth of my first child. I thought it looked nice, folded well and was small enough for my car. The carry cot part of the pram is very good; large, comfortable and robust. I love the size of the basket underneath! When I started to go out on walks to the park and shops I found it was white heavy to push and steering was difficult. When you go up and down curbs it’s a bit of a struggle, the wheels seem to get stuck. I have kept the pram and I am expecting my second child in the next 2 months. If I were to buy a new pram I wouldn’t go for this again but due to the expense I will be using it for my second child.
The pram is very well build. The carry cot is very spacious but I find that the handle is in a way and i cannot see my baby's face when i am pushing the pram (maybe it is because of my height, i am 5'3). The pram is very easy to push but the downside of it the plastic wheels. Going over bumpy surfaces is not the most comfortable for my baby. My favourite part about the pram is a very spacious shopping bag
This pushchair is very nice on the eye, you can get a carry cot and car seat to match this puchair turning it into a travel system. Im not keen on this pushchair because a couple of reasons, 1. To push on a smooth surface it is very smooth, but thats where ypir journey ends, the small wheels and springs make it hard to push on any other surface. 2. When folded the pushchair is still very bulky and hard to store. The pushchair can work out pricey and not worth it in my opinion.
Pram is great. My son always seems so really comfortable in the pram. The hood is UV PROTECTED which is a huge plus for me. The pram is easy enough to push alothough sometimes the front wheels can bend. The pram forward or parent faces and even at the age of 20months it’s sometimes nice to be able to see him
When out and about. Great size basket and fits my whole weekly shop in. Would recommend this pram.
