We were given this item as a gift for our now 5 week old and have to say, I would highly recommend it if you can afford one. The bottles are made up to the exact right temperature, no having to warm/cool bottles with flasks of water etc! Would have made my life so much easier 14 years ago with my son! - Strengths:

I love this. I wish it was put for my other kids. After not producing milk and struggling my partner bought this! Its amazing! Takes minutes to make the perfect bottle everytime and was amazing through the night! Baby now realises when it beeps his milk is ready and no more waiting on bottles cooling. Its great. Only downside is if we go away we seem to forget how real bottles work and how to make them as the machine does it all but id definitely recommend for easiness especially if more than one child in house. - Strengths:

I love the perfect prep well worth the money makes feeds so much easier just wish I had one for my first. Night time feeds are so much quicker with it as well -

This machine is a total life saver no more jugs of water waiting for it too cool down it’s quick and bottle is ready to drink straight away which for my little boy is amazing as he wants his bottle NOW easy to clean and maintain I also use it to give my little one water too .. only thing for me is it can be noisy. - Strengths:

At first I thought the Prep Machine would be a life saver, especially for those night time feeds but I found that you can do just as good a job with a kettle and cool boiled water and you don’t have to pay the price of the actual machine and filters. I ended up selling mine on after a month or two of using it as didn’t find it helped out much at all. I live in a top floor flat which gets fairly hot (especially in this hot weather recently) which meant the Prep Machine refused to dispense the water. Because the water has to be a certain temperature for it to be made safely for baby to drink it, it won’t dispense the water unless the tank is cool. It was too much of a pain to try and cool the water or wait for it to top up again each time hence why I sold it and used the kettle from that point on... If your house is fairly cool, I can see how the prep machine would be a must have but for me, it was sitting on the counter for no reason and not being used as the temperature light was constantly on. So although it didn’t work out for me, it is easy to use, easy to clean and set up, makes the bottles at perfect drinking temperature as it says and is far quicker than the traditional way of making bottles. Would be a great thing to have for a lot of people, just didn’t work out that way for us.

If I had to have just one baby product it would be this. Quick and easy to use and means no waiting around for those bottles to cool down. Only downfall is in the hot weather it is over heating and having to change the water to keep it cool which doesn’t help with quickness. Apart from that i think this is the safest way to feed your baby by formula. - Strengths:

Couldn’t live without this it makes life so much easier makes bottles quickly and at the right temperature so easy to use and clean. The filter needs replacing every couple of months but there is an indicator light. I would definitely recommend - Strengths:

I absolutely love my perfect prep machine. Once I stopped breast feeding it was the perfect way to get a speedy bottle at the perfect temperature. This was especially fab when I had a hungry baby in the early hours. Not only was it good for Baby, it was good for my sanity and I was fretting about Baby having to wait for his bottle. There has been a lot of controversy about these machines and about bacteria/mouldy in the pipes. I have never had this issue. If you follow the cleaning instructions and use a proper filter (not a cheap one) then you will have no problems. Best product I have bought for Baby. - Strengths:

This machine makes life so much easier. My baby demand feeds n he wouldn’t wait long. This way his milk is done so quickly. The new guidelines are complicated and I hated doing it that way.
We actually have two of these machines, as we have a three storey house and going down two flights of stairs at 2/4/6 am is not fun! Also one was a hand-me-down.
The biggest issues though; it took my son months to drink 4 ounces a feed, even at 3 month he won’t take 4oz in the night. So I’ve wasted a lot of milk. But I think he isn’t like other babies as he was premature.
But this summer was 34degrees and there have been times when both machines stopped working as they overheat when it gets past 27 degrees. This is a massive issue I have to break guidelines and make big morning batches and refrigerate them or I’d have to use the kettle on those boiling days.
Also beware it does dribble out boiling water just after it beeps saying it’s done: both do that so it’s not just one machine.

I absolutely love the tommee tippee prep machine. I have no idea what I did without it. It takes less than 2 minutes to make a bottle and is just so perfect for a demanding baby that hates waiting for a bottle to cool, especially during the night! - Strengths:

I used this machine for 3 months when my daughter was born. It was quick and easy to make a bottle. My daughter suffered from reflux so I decided to stop using it to see if that might affect her condition. But that wasn't the issue. Milk wasn't hot enough I think and I'm not sure about using filtered water for babies? There need to be more research done about it as some parents complained about colic, constipation and reflux while using this machine. - Strengths:

Totally love this. We would be lost with it, it's so quick and simple to use. So much quicker than a kettle and jug of cold water. It's easy to clean and de scale too. However it does overheat in the summer a lot, putting very cold water in it, does sort that out, so not a major problem.

We purchased this in mothercare for 60.00 on offer, when my little one was born I used it up stairs to make bottles up but found it really loud and vibrate and I felt like the water didn't come out hot enough. I gave mine to my sister in law and used the kettle method in sted. - Strengths:

It’s a great machine to have and definitely handy for night feeds, but it’s a shame it doesn’t make lower than 4 ounces as you get a lot of milk wastage during the first month or so and having that option of just 1or 2 ounces would’ve been perfect. It’s also a little noisy but I can live with that as it does do a great job and saves a lot of time. Anyone who has a newborn knows that when they want that bottle they want it there and then so for this reason I would definitely recommend. - Strengths:

I wouldn't be without my prep machine now. Its easy to use and makes night feeds a lot easier.
The water cones out fairly slowly and sometimes can feel like it is taking forever but gets it done a lot faster than a kettle.

Overall disappointment with this machine. I bought it as heard some good reviews but I don't rate this at all. I have the older style one so maybe the newer one has improved. However, the price was extremely over the top I think and the quality of the actual product wasn't that great at all. This product is a god send when making bottles easy to use and takes mins to make a bottle ready to feed ur baby.
So easy to use and saves time in night feeds no need to wait for the bottle to cool before giving to ur baby
I would not be without it now

This machine has been a life saver! When my son was first born I was boiling the kettle and doing it that way until I was told about the prep machine! So I went out and got one and oh my goodness it’s amazing, fast and hassle free. It makes a bottle in under 2 minuets... couldn’t ask for a better machine!

This is a must have item! Admittedly the price may appear rather steep but we purchased our PP on sale at Mothercare. It is a sleek looking item, not one you want to hide away after use (like you do some other baby items). We had our PP from the get go but initially favoured booking the kettle to make our bottles... that was until we tried the PP and thereafter there was no going back. Warm bottle ready in minutes which makes life so much easier with a hangry baby in he wee small hours. Wouldn’t be without this machine and would recommend it to all mums to be/new mums. - Strengths:

I love my perfect prep, it's so easy to use and so quick. I always jeep as jug of cold water in the fridge though and never fill to the top as the thermometer in it is quite sensitive and if the water temp is too high it won't work. - Strengths:
