The wires came out of the straps and are very difficult to get back in. Very high up because of the base and difficult for my 2year old to get in. He doesn’t seem comfortable now that he is a bit bigger. His feet hit off the back of the seat in front. - Strengths:

My little boy looks so comfy in this car seat. He has has it since 16 months & he is now 4 years (just hitting the weight limit). The chair has been great and still looks new! All of the chair is well made and is sturdy. The only minor downfall to this chair is that it is really hard to get the fabrics off to clean. Luckily I've only had to wash it twice (I avoid doing it where possible for this reason!). Another small downfall is that when my son has been in friends or families cars, who havent had isofix they havent been able to use this seat. I've had to always have a spare incase. It would be good if the seat could be used with either the seat belt or isofix for this reason. - Strengths:

We have used this since our little one was 9 months old. It's super comfy and roomy enough right up until he is older. Hes almost 2 and still has lots of room and comfort. The head rest lifts to extend the arm straps and give appropriate comfort. Buckling in is quick and easy. Only downside is the struggle to take it apart to clean. - Strengths:

I bought this because our son was out growing the pebble. It is a fantastic car seat, the straps fit tight to our son meaning you can tip the chair upside down and they won't fall out. (Don't attempt this unless you are positive the straps won't come lose), the only issue i have is that sometimes it is a struggle to loosen the straps because they are so tight.

I've used this car seat for both my children. It's such a comfy snug car seat, with a reclining function which is great for young children who tend to fall asleep in the car. I love that it fixes into an isofix base so not
faffing about with seat belts. Plus you can set it as forward or rear facing, great feature! -

We used the Maxi Cosi Pearl car seat for two of our three children. It’s a great car seat but does not now comply with I-size regulations, as it does not offer the option to rear face. The newer version, the 2-way Pearl is it’s replacement.
The Pearl is a really comfortable seat for your little one, our daughter (who is small for her age) used it up to age four and actually can still use it now she’s five as it goes up to 18kg. The harness is very easy to adjust, simply pull the shoulder straps when the buckle is undone to loosen and pull the strap at the bottom of the seat to tighten. The buckle has a spring which automatically makes it lay flat out of the way when undone, meaning you don’t Inadvertently sit your child on it when putting them into the seat. Other makes of car seat don’t do this and it really does make life easier. When the buckle is in the upright position and done up, the straps cannot he loosened. The buckle has a button in the centre which you push to release the clasp, it is very difficult for a toddler to press this button with enough force to open the clasp. Again, some other car seat models have a button at the top of the buckle which are much easier to undo (and my two year old did manage to once whilst we were driving).
The Pearl car seat cannot be fitted with a seat belt, meaning you also need to purchase the isofix base to go with it. If you already have the FamilyFix or 2 Way Fix car seat base because you have a Pebble car seat then this is great. If not, I’d say don’t bother with this car seat as you can find much cheaper ones out there.
The isofix base makes it really easy to recline the car seat, it can easily be done from the front seat with one hand whilst driving along, so if your little one falls asleep you can easily recline them in a matter of seconds.
The headrest is really easy to adjust and the cover comes off for washing (but the straps can’t be removed so cleaning those is a bit trickier, especially if your child is sick in the car).
Getting your child into this seat can’t be tricky if they are resisting, as you have to lift them into the car sideways without banging their head on the roof, but once they are able it’s quite easy for them to climb in themselves.
Overall this car seat was a good purchase for our family, it clicks onto the isofix base in seconds and the harness is really easy to use whilst being childproof. However it has been replaced by a newer model capable of rearward facing so it has become essentially defunct. - Strengths:

Brilliant car seat. It reclines slightly for the younger child or sleeping child. Meets the safety standards which was very important for me. Once my first born was big enough I transitioned him from the starter maxi cosy into this one and the transition was seem less. The cosy cover and seat position helped my little one be comfy as well as being protected and feeling safe. Which of course was a weight off my mind too.
The fabric can be washed in the washing machine which for a mucky toddler who likes to snack in the car it was a lifesaver.
The only issue is that you can’t wash the straps but a damp cloth soon sorted then out.
You need to ensure that your car is compatible with the maxi cosy. You’ll be fine if your car is fairly new however I know my mama didn’t which was an issue if she wanted to use her car to her him anyway. That’s defiantly something to look into prior to purchasing - Strengths:

I've got 4 group 1 seats and this is the best. It's the only seat with a good enough recline that if my son falls asleep in it his head doesn't drop forward and rest on his Chest. Also the way the straps stay propped up and out the way is amazing so no fishing behind my son to find the straps. So easy to use as well with the base - Strengths:

We were kindly given this car seat by a friend.
positives - son seams to be comfortable sitting in it. Rear facing option better for safety, fits into care securely with isofix, recline option good for sleep, buckles easy to do up, you can wash the seat covers.
Negatives - when rear facing the bucket shape makes it hard to lift a wiggling baby in and out of, I don't think my son will be comfortable rear facing in it for that much longer so we will have to move it to forward facing, you have to buy a separate Isofix base which adds to cost. - Strengths:

The maxi cosi 2 way pearl appears to be comfortable as my daughter will often fall asleep In her car seat, as it has the option to recline this is very handy to prevent her head falling forwards.
Its great rear facing for better safety and if you have a small
Child this is beneficial but we have found at 18mths we have had to change to forward facing as my daughter is too long to sit comfortably rear facing.
The cost of the seat and base is very expensive and whilst at the time I believed it was worth while as it came with lifetime guarantee when I had an issue with the seat the guarantee suddenly didn’t appear to be all that great. I would have to send the seat to maxi cosi for them to investigate the issue and they wouldn’t send a loan seat to use so you could be left without a car seat for weeks - Strengths:

Brilliant seat and the toddler never complains. Seat belt is spring loaded so they don’t tend to get tangled or lost behind toddler when getting them in. Easy to fasten and when asleep I haven’t had issues with toddlers head falling forward unlike another seat we have. - Strengths:

I loved the look of this seat, but when it came to ease of use, it was a difficult seat. If the seat didn't cost as much as it does, then I'd have been happier, but with it costing so much you'd think it would be the perfect seat. After only a few months use I upgraded to another chair - Strengths:

We moved on from the pebble to this two way pearl at around 11 months. We use this as a spare as it can easily be transferred between daddy and Nonna's cars with the two way base we had for his baby seat( which connects with iso fix really simply and easily) .
It seems really comfy and the recline is pretty handy , easy to do up nice and tight and we love that it can rear face until around four (depending on height and weight of the child) .
I even washed the covers the other day and it was fairly simple to remove and refit them.
Would recommend highly - Strengths:

We got this as a follow on from the cabriofix. Its very high in the ratings for safety. It’s easy to fit on the family fix isofix base and sits up/lays back easily. My son went in it from 10months but is on the skinny side so we have to really make sure the straps are as tight as possible and it didn’t fit in the early days so had to keep him in his Grade 0+ longer despite being the recommended height and weight. He’s now 28 months and still skinny so requires super tight straps which does press on the shoulders a fair bit but with the headrest adjusted up we get a comfy fit. Covers are easy to remove/replace when washing and I doubt our son will be able to undo the button for a long while yet. - Strengths:

I have just moved up to the maxi cosi pearl with the family base I absolutely love this car seat it is so simple and stylish but feels so safe and solid, I love that the straps stay open to make it easier to put your child in, I also love the way it's so easy to go from rearward to forwards facing in 1 click! My daughter has this car seat in Red she really like the colour and finds the car seat comfortable. Really easy to fit with the family fix base and easy to transfer between cars if the other car has a family fix base. The only negatives I have is it’s not rear facing and the seat can become quite hot in the summer and my daughter gets quite sweaty. - Strengths:

My l8rtke boy fits in really well to this car seat, I was worried at first about him dropping his head when he sleeps but the recline means that never happens. Great for peace of mind when travelling, nice and sturdy but it's a shame it's so much more expensive for isize. - Strengths:

The bonus is obviously isofix but that's about all, the car seat was really noisy and rattled a lot, my little boys head was constantly flopping forward, it seemed the seat needed a better recliner, I strongly disliked this product. - Strengths:
