    I've always hated velvet. The texture just grates on me. But these were in the sale at Mothercare and I thought, why not.
    Initially, I loved these. I wore them for the weekly pregnancy photos my husband and I took. They looked wonderful. My bum looked great. They felt nice against my skin. The over bump band felt supportive. I was really pleased.
    But then I wore them for an evening. I went out for a celebratory meal at a milestone in my pregnancy. What a pain. They felt like they were really sagging in the rear and kept slipping down. I was glad I was wearing a longline glittery jumper to hide my shame. The last thing you want is for clothes to disobey and not do as they are made to do - cover you and feel comfortable. I'm glad they were in the sale as otherwise I would have been disappointed.
