I bought Ollie the owl to use to soothe my baby back to sleep when she wakes up. I like all of the sounds and that it lights up. The biggest plus of this is that it has a cry sensor and detects noises so it turns back on. I just wish that it had more than two noises that you can put on repeat. I also wish that you could control the volume of the noise when it comes back on. When the cry sensor is activated, it automatically plays at full volume which is quite loud. I do love that it has a strap to hang on the cot. I would definitely recommend. Plus it’s just so cute! - Strengths:

I have recently ordered this and I'm looking forward to using when my baby is born. Has 4 sound settings which are meant to imitate noises inside the womb to help babies sleep. Will update review upon use. - Strengths:

This sends my baby back to sleep, he immediately starts winding down when he hears Ollie as part of our bedtime routine.
It goes through batteries like no tomorrow, and it could do with being a quieter volume option. Also, the heartbeat on the cry sensor would benefit me. - Strengths:

We've used this with the white noise setting for the first 3 months of our little boy's life. it would set him off to sleep but our problem to begin with was that it would keep him asleep so he wouldn't wake up for feeds and we had to wake him (he was only a couple of weeks old at this point and only just going back up to his birth weight so wasn't demand feeding at this point).
Once we got to demand feeding, we then had a problem with it draining through all the batteries we were putting in. We were replacing the FOUR batteries every few days because it would be set off at any little noise. - Strengths:

We've been using this you since we got home from hospital. Our baby lives the different sounds. We use the lolaby and heart beat for bed time and the white noite/water fall when he's a bit fussy. The gentle soothing light is great for night time feeds and it is supposed to look like if baby was still inside the womb. We always leave it on till baby is fast asleep. My only concern in the batteries life. I'm not sure if mine is defected or not but we are constantly swapping the batteries. We buy branded ones and probably change them every week, which is a bit expensive. The owl light flashes for a few seconds when the battery is gone and then he's completely off. It doesn't say anything about this on the user manual, which is a shame. Apart from this, great product - Strengths:

What a lifesaver Ollie has been! He's out bestfriend.
From the very first time using him he has helped our little one to sleep. He even helps us sleep! Now the baby is in his own room I'm tempted to by myself one.
The owl plays 4 different sounds - heartbeat, rain, whitenoise and lullaby. We only really use whitenoise.
The cry sensor could do with being a little more sensitive, but I think that's down to the location of the owl.
The battery life is the only downside here, as it eats through them quickly! Best to invest in some good re- chargeable battery's. - Strengths:

Like this product. Love the cry sensor. Batteries last about 3 weeks in our case.. would love heartbeat sound on cry sensor And a quieter speaker as the softest one . Also stops abruptly, would be better with a far out function. Good size for home but too large if travelling with it. - Strengths:

Sounds is great with different volumes and sounds (although white noise is the only one we use). In theory the cry sensor is good; however ours starts over as soon as it automatically shuts off even when no one is in the room. It drains batteries (we have had to change every other night and use rechargeable) most likely because the control sensor keeps it constantly on. I like that it is soft and cuddly as opposed to plastic. The owl is rather large so I would not take it in the pram or car seat or even when traveling. I really wanted to like this but changing batteries every night so that it does not die in the middle of the night does not work.
The cry sensor only works with the lullaby and white noise. If the heartbeat or rain is preferred that will need to be manually restarted every 20 minutes.
Easily attaches to cot or crib with Velcro strap! - Strengths:

I first bought Ollie for my baby boy Ollie (funnily enough) after using the MyHummy white noise teddies. I found that, although MyHummy could be washed as you could removed the sound device, the sound quality was poor and very 'Tinny' and a lot lf the time, the cry sensor would not work. I have found that this little owl is so much more value for money than the nearly double the price MyHummy and the 4 little noises are of much better sound quality. My son really likes the lullaby and the cry sensor on this is really sensitive, which is great. Has the added bonus of a little night light and 3 volume levels too. Only niggle is the battery life is pretty poor but I think that is pretty standard with white noise battery operated machines. Also a bit disappointing that only two sounds have the cry sensor, although I am lucky my son likes one of them :D. Very well made also. Great product. - Strengths:

<p>After a few weeks of sleepless nights with a brand new newborn baby (our first), we knew we had to do something to get some shut eye. We tested out the white noise apps on pur smartphones and found that some worked quite well for our baby... So we bought this product after looking at MyHummy, <a href="https://www.consobaby.co.uk/ewan-the-dream-sheep-sweet-dreamers.html">Ewan the Sheep</a> and other similar products on the market. We found that this product seemed better value for money especially for our (at the time) newborn baby as we didn't know how he would respond to white noise toys. <br /><br />Now at 10 weeks old, our baby sleeps virtually through the night (from midnight feed to around 6-7am) with the help of the amazing Ollie the Owl. He loves it on the white noise setting (the other 3 don't get used for us but they are nice to have as a choice as every baby is different). It's great that there are different volume levels for the sound and different intensity levels for the tummy light. The tummy light is also fab which isn't available in some of the other equivalent products on the marlet (especially in this price range). We also love the velcro strap which enables Ollie to be attached to the pram, cot, Moses basket, or even to our chicco crib (which hardly anything attaches to).<br /><br />The only downsides we have found are that the batteries only seem to last us around 1-2 weeks. And also the cry sensor, although a great function, goes from full blast sound to nothing at all once timed out so the shock of the sound being all out to nothing causes the baby to stir a little so it comes back on straight away - probably contributing to why the batteries don't last very long! It would be much better if the sound faded out at the end of the 20min cycle.<br /><br />Overall very happy with the product for the price and would recommend.</p> - Strengths:

Ollie has saved us. My baby was up at all hours until we got Ollie. He has 4 different sounds a lullaby and white noise which are in the cry sensor and a heart beat and water which are not on the sensor. I use the lullaby setting and it plays for 20 mins then stops and if my baby loves or makes a noise it will start back up again. If Ollie doesn't hear baby for 3 hours or more then he turns off. Has different volumes and a light. The only thing is that only 2 of the 4 sounds are on the cry sensor and sometimes it gets confusing with remembering what button does what. - Strengths:

I brought Ollie for my two month old last week. So far it has managed to settle her for naps well, but doesn't seem to do much for her at night.

Ollie has lots of functions - cry sensor, light which can be on varying levels of brightness and different sounds. It can be a bit confusing though as both wings have different functions as well as both feet. Once you read the instructions it becomes clear which wing/foot has which function and over time will remember this. Ollie is lovely and cuddly and I like that you are able to have the sound on different volumes and the light ( which is on its tummy) is able to be on varying levels of brightness. - Strengths:

I bought Ollie the owl hoping it would help my newborn sleep on her own, as she would sleep with a white noise app.
When I got the product home I was surprised by how large it was.
It didn't work for my baby even though there were a variety of different sounds to try. Even the rain noise didn't work, whereas the rain on my white noise app did work.
For this reason I feel the product is overpriced and I wouldn't recommend.

Love. Love. Love.
A perfect night time friend to soothe baby to sleep. The cry sensor is a life saver but doesn't always pick up the really little whines. When this happens we do a little cough or something to turn it on before baby starts to cry.
It can be a little complicated to figure out how to work but you get used to it. A summary is
Right wing is the music like Brahms lullaby and the cry sensor. Hold down this wing till you hear a beep if you don't want music yet but want to set the cry sensor.
Left wing is the heartbeat and white noise but sadly has no cry sensor
Right foot is the night light with 3 brightness settings
Left foot is sound control with 3 settings
I recommend buying rechargeable batteries for this or you'll spend lots replacing them with how quickly they're used up. - Strengths:
