This worked well for me in the early days when I had to express to encourage milk flow as baby was premature and tube fed. The electric pups didn't get anything out of me but this gently teased it out and was easy to carry around so I could use it regularly but it really only gets small amounts out and the crack isn't so easy that you can keep going for a full bottle.
My hands got tired after a while when trying to fill a bottle. But for regular stimulation to encourage flow it was great. All the parts come apart easily for sterilizing and it comes with a dust cap so you can put it all together on an advent bottle and toss it in your bag to go.1 -

I bought this during my pregnancy along with an electric pump. With hindsight I would have just bought and used an electric pump but a manual is a good starting point when you can feel a bit anxious and unsure about pumping to begin with. This is a simple pump that attached well to the breast and is easy to dismantle to clean each part. I did find this model to be a little bit squeaky and it is tough on the old hands if you're planning on using it for lots of expressing. But certainly to pump a little, to relieve engorgement or to get expressing going, it is super handy. I didn't travel but imagine this is easier to take away than an electric pump if you're stuck for space. - Strengths:

I actually like this pump very much. Tried to express by hand at first and it was a messy affair. Then I got this pump and it made expressing much easier. It fits the tit perfectly and comfortable to use. However after months of usage it starts to accumulate leftover milk in the pump's neck and it is nearly impossible to get it 100% clean again even with sterilisation. This is a bit of a let down as the device starts to smell. - Strengths:

This was great and easy to use. It is small and compact for if required when out and about. I expressed and fed for a while so ended up investing in an electric as it is quicker. However, this was great for relief when I returned to work.

This product was good when I was breastfeeding and needed to make bottles for on the go. The bottle attached to the bottom and you pump milk. I found the suction to be very limited though and could never get enough. For £40, it wasn't really worth it. - Strengths:

I have 3 children and have brought avent pumps with all 3. I have tried Tommy tippy amd couldn't get on with it so I went back to avent. This is an excellent breast pump, comfortable to use, easy to be sterilised. - Strengths:

It's a good manual pump for mothers who want to keep their baby in habit of bottle feeding but at the same time give them the benefit of breast milk and it helps maintain good milk supply as more the milk is emptied more body gets the signal to make it. -

This item is very compact and easy to clean. However feels slightly flimsy, I have had to re attach the pumping handle many times as it’s popped off while in use. The suction isn’t always 100% and it can be very noisy, almost like air is trapped. Does what it needs too. - Strengths:

This came as part of my steriliser set. I used this as my daughter struggled to latch on. I didn’t really get on with it as it lost suction after a week and I had to take it back as they classed it as faulty. I never really got enough milk when using this and it was very squeaky which isn’t great when expressing at night time. - Strengths:

The breast shaped teat was very comfortable. It stimulated enough for pumping milk while feeding the baby on the other breast. Easy to use.

Hand pumps are obviously going to be harder to use than electric ones but this is quite straight forward to use with patience. However, the squeaky handle encouraged me to buy an electric one! - Strengths:

Really works. It does take a few - 3 or 4 attempts - until you can really express. Don't stop after first attempt
Best manual pump my wife has tried.
The ‘Tommee Tippee’ equivalent is simply not in the same league as this. The suction cup is excellent. Good comfy fit (I’m told), and the suction is unmatched by the rival models we have tried.

This product is easy to use and clean. Very easy to reassemble once cleaned. The only issue i had with this product and i wouldn't have known if my midwife hadnt mentioned it but their is a gel bit that has a tenancy to slow the flow of the milk, i removed this which helped me produce more milk for my little one - Strengths:

Fab for expressing off excess milk and making sure your ducts are emptied after each feed. Not tried to express milk for a whole bottle yet. But seems pretty simple and easy. Easy to clean too. Not bad for the price. - Strengths:

It's a very good breast pump can pump quite a bit of milk quickly. Suction is good and strong and it is easy to assemble. They only issue I have is the sound as it is very squeaky and quiet embarasing to use it in a public changing room or rest room - Strengths:

I don’t intend to express much milk as I just love feeding my baby myself but was great to help me increase my supply and is handy to have some spare milk incase somebody needs to babysit him. Easy to use and baby took to the bottle that comes with it straight away with no issues. - Strengths:
