Joie i-Venture Car Seat

Love this car seat. So happy we got this with the chrome dlx travel system. Easy to carry and love the inserts that remove as baby gets bigger.

I really love using this car seat, has a vibrant navy blue and a nice comfortable head rest. Easy for me to place my child inside without the worry of their safety. Very easy to attach to the car seat and is easily detachable. Came with an advanced ibase isofix allowing the seat extra height. The seat has a adaptable head which can change position depending on the child. However, I feel that the car seat is heavy when removing or putting in but as we don't always require it putting strain on me, would have been lovely if it wasn't so heavy but for safety of my child I'm not complaining so much. Moreover, I really like that it is easy to fix my child in place and with a click easily remove them from the seat, this means it's less fiddly than most other car seats. Overall. I love this seat and gives my child great safety when travelling, the design is appealing and many expecting mothers have already asked which brand it is. I definetly recommended buying.

Been using it for a few weeks but I love it! It’s perfect for my daughter who is 10 months old as it will last us a few years. I’ve found she is much more comfortable as she had more room which helps me find car journeys a lot more easier than before would definitely recommend for anybody to use!

Excellent car seat, came will packaged, the sear is sturdy, well made and easy to install in the isofix ibase advance. We took half of the new born inset out and still have the bottom if it in for out 9 month old so her hips are protected, she is very comfortable and hates getting out of her car seat because she is so snug! A downside to this was that the instructions don't give you much info about the insert and when to take it out/adjust it.
Straps are easy to adjust as they grow because they move up when you adjust the headrest for baby's height which means no more fiddling for hours with straps in the back of a carseat!!
There are 7 recline settings for rear facing which is nice because you can either sit baby up or have them laid back. The recline setting is easy to adjust with or without baby in the seat.
We have not tried the seat forward facing yet.
Another downside is that seat wobbles side to side on the base. Even when baby is in the carseat, which is annoying. We have tried every which way to install the base and seat and has it checked, but it is still wobbling.

The car seat is very easy to take in and out of the car and the isofix base is great as other Joie car seats can be used on this too.
The car seat does rattle if there is no baby in it which is very irritating if driving long distances.
You can’t adjust 1 strap on it’s own as both need to be pulled at the same time and the button pressed which can be difficult if baby is in the seat.
I also think that you should be able to move the shoulder pads up and down as it’s sometimes difficult to get baby’s arm in and comfortable.
The car seat is nice to look at and easy to wipe down.

To use this carseat you require the joie I base advanced, without it you won't be able to use it. The seat is fairly lightweight but feels sturdy. It's a case of unpacking from the box and clicking either rear facing or forward facing onto the base. (There is an audible click when its on). Its the easiest to attach when the base is in the number 7 position.
The seat is suitable from birth and comes with a padded insert which is easy to remove and takes seconds if not required. It is well padded and made of a soft black material. The insert is grey. I like that the crotch pad is built in so it doesn't get lost. The seat pads fit well on the shoulders and are soft and don't leave any marks on the skin. At the sides of the seat on each side are elasticated loops to put the belt clips to hold the straps open. To make the height of the straps/ seat higher there is no rethreading just squeeze the bottom behind the head rest and pull up. Our son fits well and it's fairly easy to put him in ( only being swivel would improve). I struggle slightly pulling the belts right due to the angle. The seat takes up alot of room which can be an issue in smaller cars as we have used in our large car and mums smaller . In the smaller car it's just a fit rear facing due to the length.
To remove the seat from the base press the button on the base and lift just like you would if it was an infant carrier.
Overall it is a great I size seat which is easy to use and comfy for the child.
