Heavy, wish it lasted longer

I really loved the sun canopy on this car seat as it mimics night time for baby which is great in the car or out and about as it can be pulled all the way down, and there is a small mesh part to see baby and also allow ventilation.
It is very easy to use and put into a car, a good size so that it isn’t bulky but it is quite heavy especially with baby inside. Great that it comes with adaptors so can be used with the travel system as well. Can’t go wrong for the price. - Strengths:

The seat has been absolutely brilliant, it was great value for money as it lasted our little boy until almost 18 months old when used on the base. When I checked the standard of testing and safety rating it scored very well and matched other brands but was quite a bit cheaper to purchase! The seat looks nice and as it attaches with the same adaptors as a Maxi Cosi it fits on most travel systems. There was lots of padding, especially for newborns to keep them snug, secure and comfy - it was easy to take these out and adjust the strap height as our little boy grew. The only criticism I have is that it doesn’t come with a rain cover and universal covers didn’t fit properly, I had a December baby so a rain cover would have been extremely useful. I’d 1000% buy this seat again and would definitely recommend it. - Strengths:

This car seat goes perfectly with the joie chrome dlx and comes with the adapters. Easy to install into the car without isofix base. Can take out the different inserts and can also adjust the head rest just with the press of a button and slide. Lasts until 9kg which was brilliant as lasted ages. Straps and clips are really safe and hold nicely. - Strengths:

I really like it but now my baby is 7 months and it looks a bit tight. I really like the quality and the material. I never had problems with it so I recommend it especially together with the travel system.. Its very safe and it keeps the baby's head in a good position - Strengths:

Awkward to remove from pushchair frame, padded bits on seat belt are a bit bulky and uncomfortable

We bought this with the Joie Chrome DLX travel system at a really good price. I did lots of research on the safest car seats and this one scored really well which is the main reason we bought it. It’s really easy to click on and out of the isofix base but a little awkward to remove from the pushchair frame. It is really quick and easy to adjust as baby grows. The newborn insert is great and keeps baby secure. My son always falls asleep in the car seat so it must be comfy! The padded bits on the seat belt are a bit bulky and can rub against baby’s face when they are smaller, they can be removed but then there wouldn’t be any padding against baby’s chest, I think they just need to be a bit smaller so that they don’t reach baby’s chin. - Strengths:

We use this car seat with the joie isofix base. It makes everything so much easier. It connects and disconnects from the base very easily. It feels very safe and secure and I love how it has the extra insert for head support when baby is newborn. My little boy always feels so happy when in his car seat. I would definitely recommend to anyone. - Strengths:

I can honestly not fault this car seat my baby loves being in it as he always falls asleep! It’s so strong and sturdy I have no worries about him being in it , we do have an isofix which makes it easier but it is honestly so easy to fit without it as well which helps when not in our own car! Really recommend this to any 1st time mums! Looks and is such good quality and comfort for your baby - Strengths:

I absolutely love this car seat. It's easy to use, easy to put into the car as well as strapping baby in. I absolutely love the canopy which basically covers the whole seat. My son sits in it so comfortably, even when he was a newborn. Love the design and colour we chose. The insert can be removed so now that our son is bigger he doesn't need it. Also comes with a headrest which is great for the size my son is now.

I love this car seat especially the newborn insert which had the option to take the headrest out and leave the body in, and vice versa.
It felt like my baby was very safe and secure inside the seat, the only downfall is that it’s quite heavy when lifting it in and out of the car and onto the buggy base - Strengths:

This was the second car seat I properly looked at and I fell in love with it straight away. I did some research before buying and decided it was the one for me. I loved how much padding it had as I knew I was going to have a smaller baby, so I was confident she would be comfortable and safe in the car seat from birth. I love the fabrics as they look luxury (grey) and feel lovely. My only down point is that when baby starts getting bigger, the car seat is very heavy - Strengths:

This is and will continue to be a great durable car seat. Really easy to adjust and very well padded in comparison to others, fabric is a good quality. - Strengths:

An all round good newborn carseat, although the straps are annoyingly difficult to tighten when the newborn insert is used, much easier when the baby is big enough to not need the insert. Car seat is reasonably light and easy to install in the car whether using the seatbelt or isofix. - Strengths:

- Strengths:

- Weaknesses:
Design is slightly off

Safety - After a lot of research into different seats, we found Joie to be one of the most secure and safe to put our newborn in. The seat fits securely using both the seatbelt and the Isofix fixture. The headrest cushions were narrow enough that my babies head would not move around in the chair whilst on the move. I felt confident travelling with my newborn.
Design - The material is durable and hides dirt well. (we got the seat in pavement grey). The hood is big so covers the majority of my babies body once covered, which gives good shelter from the weather. The straps are quite Faffy when the cushions are in, but once they are removed they become easier to use. The design of the handle is the most unconvenient part of the seat as you have to use both hands to lower it. The seat is quite heavy compared to other chairs but i was happy to cast this problem aside due to It’s security.
Comfort - with all padding, the seat was comfortable for my baby, especially the head rest. My baby has a smaller head than some and it really helped keep it from moving around. I quickly had to take the extra padding out because her legs got too long and were dangling over the edge, now that the seat has no cushions I find it very deep to sit in so her body is more scrunched up than it should be.
Overall, the seat is a very good starter seat, if you have the money to buy multiple seats during their first year. I will be looking to replace it soon (6 months) for one that stays in the car, mainly due to its weight now that she’s getting bigger and the deep dip in the seat won’t do well for long journeys which we have planned soon. - Strengths:

- Strengths:
Bring me home insert. Colour hides dirt. Not too bulky. Fits onto pram. Huge hood.
- Weaknesses:
Fiddly to do up.
- Comfortable
- Value for money
- Easy to use

We love our Joie I Gemm car seat. Our little girl is very comfy in it, and it attaches easily onto our pram with adaptors for quick trips out. The bring me home insert was particularly useful for us, as we had a tiny baby, so we used this until she was almost 3 months. This is smaller than most car seat inserts. Once you know how the car seat is really simple to adjust, and has plenty of room for growth. Its quite fiddly to do up, but to be honest I think most car seats are. We use the seat both with and without the isofix base, and find it feels very secure either way. - Strengths:

- Strengths:
Very secure and solid car seat
- Weaknesses:
The handle needs two hands to move it
- Comfortable

My daughter had this car seat for the first year and it always felt secure in the car and with her in it due to the padding you get in it. I would use this car seat again. - Strengths:

1.50/5
- Strengths:
Love the hood as it gives baby plenty of privacy/protection with zip to open up to net for breeze
- Weaknesses:
Fabric not cosy, too harsh for babies skin, poorly designed bumper, seat is way too deeply dipped
- Comfortable
- Value for money
- Easy to use
- Design
Very unsatisfied with this product , the bumpers squish my babies head can’t remove them to eplace with my own, the carseat itself is so deep down , its bad for my baby as he's all scrunched up crying tried putting pads underneath no good with comfort, the fabric is rough on baby skin not cosy at all, and the handle is poorly designed to move back and forth can’t feed or move baby properly, only thing i liked about it is the hood - Strengths:
-
4.63/5
- Strengths:
Comfy, warm, easy to carry and adjust
- Weaknesses:
Have to put baby down to move carry handle as you need to press 2 buttons to release it
- Comfortable
- Value for money
- Easy to use
- Design
This is a great car seat. We had the pavement colour which is like a dark grey. The cushioning feels comfortable inside and is easy to add or remove the newborn padding.
The hood is a proper cover and not a cheap bit of material which you just pull up and can cover bany pretty much entirely which was great during the summer and keeping the sun off my little one. It's easy to carry and easy to manoeuvre from either the isofix base on the car or onto the pram frame. The only down side on the carry handle has go have the buttons pressed both sides in order to move it so if you're holding baby you have to put them down on order to move the handle. Apart from that I would highly recommend any parents to be to buy this car seat - Strengths:
