The bath toys thermometer tells you if the water is too hot for a baby to use however all babies are different and my daughter likes the water hot as when we was putting this toy in the bath it was showing it was hot although the water was barley like warm. - Strengths:

My little boy has had this duck from day one and loves to use it at bath time. And it doubles up as a safety second opinion for parents to check the bath temp is the right heat for little ones skin. - Strengths:

The upside of this was it can be used as a bath you as every child loves a duck at bathrobes, however this wasn't why I bought it, I wanted it so I can get the temperature right of the bath water before I put my baby in and this product didn't work well at all. It took ages for the underneath to enter the blue zone and the water was virtually cold. I was disappointed, however the duck itself would make a lovely bath toy when my baby is old enough to play as it's very bright. - Strengths:

My son plays the duck in the bath because it doesn’t work. Didn’t change colour. I’m glad I checked the water with my elbow as the water was a bit hot than normal. Not reliable and not safe. Always check with elbow as it’s better than this. Disappointed.

We bought this to use as a way of making sure our babys bath water was the right temperature. It’s a very cute design which our baby likes playing with but unfortunately the writing on the base doesn’t change despite trying it on different temperatures for over a minute each time.
It’s a lovely toy but not ideal to use as the temperature gauge it was bought for. - Strengths:

Used this when my daughter was a newborn and haven’t used it again other than for a toy. The writing on the bottom stayed exactly the same whether it was cold, warm or hot. I ended up buying a thermometer as I couldn’t trust this. It does make a good toy for her to play with though. But if you’re buying it to use a thermometer, I wouldn’t recommend. - Strengths:

This was given to me as a gift, I love rubber ducks. so I was so exited to give this a try to see if it really did work!
As I imagined though it wasn’t great, it’s a very cute product but the writing was underneath really wasn’t clear at all. To be quite honest could even notice it change.
But overall I guess it’s a nice idea for when babies get a little bigger, would make a good bath toy. But I definitely wouldn’t trust the reading! - Strengths:

I was gifted with the bath duck to assist with the temperature of water during baby bath time. The quality of the product is fantastic. However. Underneath the product is a 'hot' sign which is white in colour if the water is too hot and a blue colour if the water is a good temperature suitable to bath baby.
Unfortunately. The product i was gifted with failed to serve it's purpose as the writing doesn't change colour regardless if you run freezing cold water or boiling hot. This being that the product is faulty.
The idea of the product is fantastic.... should it work. So I would recommend having a thermometer to hand in case it decides it doesn't want to work.... bad duck!

What a fun cheap way to have at bath time my son loves splashing around with his duck making it go in and out of water would recommend for any parent who's kid loves bath time as just so much fun makin duck noises and splashing about just having fun at bath time - Strengths:

Description
The Nuby Heat Safe Bath Duck is a bath toy with the added ability of reading the temperature of the water.
Place the duck in the bathwater and leave for one minute prior to lifting to check its underside.
The white HOT indicator means you should allow the bath to cool back into the blue zone before letting your child enter.
