After really struggling with a number of more expensive electric breast pumps, a friend suggested I try this manual pump and the difference was incredible. Once I got the knack I was expressing double what I had been and when I say the knack, it's actually really simple. You just have to with the short handle doing faster, shorter little pumps to stimulate the milk, then once it starts to flow, twist the handle to the longer side and do long, slow pumps. If using the milk straight away you can just store it in the bottles it pumps in to. I also liked the fact it was really easy to see how much had been pumped unlike some other pumps. The only down side was we lost a couple of valves when cleaning but you can easily get spares on next day delivery.

I love this brand! They’re made for decent quality! The design is good- fits nicely and works effectively however a manual breast pump is always hard work. They’re cheaper than electric though so handy if you aren’t going to use it much or you want some quiet to take away with you.
The handle doesn’t hurt your palms like some brands I tried and the whole thing is easy to take apart for clean. Would recommend if you can’t get an electric.

I originally had the electric one but ended up after a few goes not sucking the milk out well so bought this and was much better and faster. Also more quiet than an electric one, easy to take out with you as it’s small

This is my favorite pump! I have tried several more, including automatic ones and none compares to it. I even rented hospital grade one but I was not impressed much. For new mums, struggling with breastfeeding, I truly recomand this product.

So easy to use this pump along the ease of cleaning it. No little fiddly parts like other pumps. Perfect for small breasts. Surprised of quality considering how cheap it was.

This is an easy to use, portable product. It was great when going on holiday and it did the job but it took a while to get a decent supply for a feed (though this would depend on your milk supply). I can’t compare it to other manual pumps as I didn’t use any others but it was cheap and it worked.

This is a very good hand pump. The quietest pump i own.
Very easily to disassemble to clean so is hygienic. The flanges are comfy and i find i cam get alot of milk out. The stand is so useful as it avoids spilling any precious bottles over!

I got this pump for when I went on a hen do so needed something small and compact to put in my handbag and this was perfect. It has two levels of suction- one to initiate the let down and the other to fully pump the breast. Took around 20 minutes to get around 4-5 oz. I appreciate this will be different for each person depending on supply and let down. I personally wouldn’t use this full time if solely expressing for baby as it can take some time. However, as stated perfect for on the go.

I love this product. I used it with my first born and plan on doing so with my second. It is so easy to use and it doesn't hurt compared to electric pumps. I found I could get a really good milk supply from the manual pump. It was easy to clean and very quick to clean so it could be used again in short notice. I found it hard to find a good size sheild to fit my breast however once I found the right size I never had any issues. Being a clumsy person I stood on a tiny part of the breast sheild and it shattered that is the only down fall I found is that the product is easy to break. I would definitely recommend this to first time breast feeding mother's that want to express as well, absolutely fantastic and reliable product.

    Excellent manual breast pump.
I can often get more from this manual pump than I can from my electric one. Easy to use, sterilise and put together.
An additional fitting that would allow to pump directly into a freezer bag would make this 10/10.

I have had a few breast pumps, electric and manual and this is by far my favourite. The design is very simple and easy to assemble. The pump is small enough to fit in your hand bag which is amazing as I had to pump at work and didn't really want to carry extra luggage.

There are two pump options, one being more intense than the other. This was great for encouraging the last bits of milk into the bottle when the supply was slowing. I never managed to fully fill a bottle so volume was never an issue for me it suited me well.
Cleaning the pump was super easy, it comes with a sterilising tub for the microwave. After dismantling the parts go into the tub with a little water and then microwaved for a few mins..perfect! I used this for 14 months and it's still in good condition ready for baby number 2.
If your looking for a no nonsense afordable pump then this is the one! I'm sure it won't disappoint

As a first time mum and determined to breast feed this product is wonderful!!!! It’s easy to use, small and practical, it’s so simple but brilliant, it’s skin friendly, works like a dream and I couldn’t of been more happy with it! I would recommend it it any first time mums or any mum in fact, I love it and it’s so reasonably price, it’s one of the best pumps l, easy to clean l, steriliser friendly and it comes with a lid so great to when your out and about if you need to use it. It also come with a little base to stand it up right and that’s great addition to have!! Love it!

    Hi mamas,
Just some info for starters, my baby is breastfed exclusively by express pumping. I was using the this manual pump every 4 hrs from the get go until the diaphragm worn out. (Made a hole in the silicon)

I liked this pump as it was light weight, quiet and had few parts. If you are only pumping here and there it should last for you. It's also gd as a back up.

I do wish I had the receipt for the pump, Medela said they would replace the handle for me but I decided to go electric instead (quicker but noiser) as it was my back up.

This pump is great if you don't mind doing the work yourself - being manual is the only downside.

It is so easy to use, and has great suction to the breast. It does have a little leakage as the breast goes down but literally only a drop. Very easy to take apart and clean, and then reassemble.

Brilliant manual pump that is easy to use! Really easy to keep clean as well and small enough to use on the go and to store at home as well. I really liked this pump and found it easy to use as a first time mum with no experience of pumping! Didn't hurt as you control the suction

Very good breastpump as far as manual ones go. Easy to use and clean, quiet and discreet. Handy little stand included. The suction is really good and it does not cause any discomfort for pumping a long while. Great if you don't want to fork out for an electric pump.

Before I bought this breast pump I was using Tommee Tippee electric pump but noticed it wasn’t pump well enough and can spend ages pumping. My sister in law recommended this Medela pump, it so fast even though it manual and very easy to clean and sterilised. Great product and no regret I bought it at all.

For a price tag of a meer £25 this breast pump has become a real life saver for me. From the very beginning when my milk was coming in to catch let down to having to quickly pump and take a bottle to leave the house in a dash it has been one of my most used baby products. Very very easy to clean and assemble, Not bulky for easy storage and you can get larger storage bottles and lids and a teet for feeding (although we didn't get on with that). Would highly recommend for Mummys.

As far a manual pump goes the medela is the best on the market, the way it stimulates to nipples first as if there was a baby suckling helps the milk flow release much easier. Comfortable to use, easy to clean. It’s just very tiresome sitting manually pumping your breasts.

I have a very love hate relationship with this product that veers more towards hate. Its simple and easy to assemble. Easy to clean and easy (in theory) to use. However. I'd start pumping all is fine next thing I know the handle has popped off. Replace it carry on...does it again. This made the whole tedious process more tedious. My hands would ache but the worst bit by far was the fact the milk would flow backwards instead of into the bottle. I thought "I must have assembled in wrong or else I'm using it wrong as it can't be this bad" so I looked to you tube guides only to find that yes it really is that bad. However judging from the amount of milk that ended up in the bottle as well as over me it clearly does the job.. just not in a mess stress free way. Its easy to clean and sterilise and allows you to store what you've collected in the chamber. However not worth the price in my opinion.

I was absolutely pleased with this item. Medela is the brand that I trust, and I've heard many positive reviews about it before buying it, so did not even consider any other ones, and I am glad I went for this one. It's very easy to use and clean, it works well, it's quite small so easy to store and carry. I would definitely recommend it for mums who don't express milk often (as I would choose the electric one) and just want something that's simple and easy to use.

Invested in this pump after reading reviews and not disappointed. Very comfortable and gets good flow with the 2 way lever. I think it’s really easy to assemble and clean.
    Good value for money too!
I think it’s quite bulky if you wanted to take it out to pump, but that’s my only negative.
