My nieces (10, 8 and 7yo) had Bumbos and they had no straps, with my 4yo and now with my 7 month old they've had straps, I still think they're brilliant seats and so useful but the straps seem uncomfortable for the baby. And unnecessary if the chair is used correctly and not on a counter top or unsupervised. It would be nice to still have the no straps option. I got it with the tray for my eldest but found it difficult to use so didn't bother with the tray second time round. - Strengths:

This is brilliant! My daughter is 4 months and trying hard to sit up in her bouncer, she can now sir in her bumbo for 10 minutes at a time and she is getting better at sitting up unaided. It's also great for feeding and easily wiped. - Strengths:

My favourite buy for my 6m old!! He loves his bumbo, I put him on the kitchen side on it while I make dinner and take it to other peoples houses. Perfect for a picnic at the park also as he’s not quite sitting up fully. Worth every penny. - Strengths:

I love the bumbo seat. I have used it for all four of my children. They are quite expensive but mine has lasted 11 years so i cant complain. The colour does fade over time and you have to be careful not to let baby bite it as it is just a foam. I found when my babies were around 4 months they liked to be sat up for short periods of time and look around. The bumbo seat is brilliant for this as it provides a safe seating area and helps build up the muscles needed to sit up. It also helps to keep an older baby in one place but normally by around 8months they work out how to get out. Its nice and light weight too and if you buy the tray you can use it as a feeding spot for first weaning.

This is a useful seat for babies who aren't yet sitting and is easy to transport as a travel highchair. It is easy to clean. I found the tray hard to pull off which was tricky. I found once baby was mobile he was not interested in sitting in it. So it had a small window of use.

This lawsuit was amazing for when my child was at the in between stage of not being able to move very far but wanting to do more! The only issue is say is that chubby babies may get there legs stuck! - Strengths:

This little chair is so good for my son as he was going Through a stage where he didn’t want to lay on the floor and when he was sat in this bumbo he loved it and didn’t want to come out and we also had a tray to go on it so he could play with all of his toys while sitting supported and safe. It’s also a great little chair to do messy play on as when the tray is attached my son is able to do sensory play E.g. painting and shaving foam. Highly recommend!

We got this as our baby hates being lay down all the time, but we didn't want to be holding him all the time either- the first time we put him in it he laughed and got very excited! It has been so useful for placing him somewhere safe while we prepare bottles or tidy up a bit; he sits happily while playing with his toys. We also have the table to attach to the bumbo, which is also very helpful for keeping toys in front of him too! We also used the seat when offering bits of food- it was slightly earlier than 6 months for medical reasons and he wasn't quite ready for a highchair, so in having a safe and comfortable place for him to sit, it made it much easier on us to be able to feeď without holding him ourselves. Practically this seat is a must-have for young children, there is no setup required and so easy to wipe down if dirty. It's also amazing for transporting around due to the small size and have even seen a 4 year old sit in it, so it's very long lasting for age too!

I have used a bumbo for all 3 of my children.
They are a great little seat. Very easy to use and clean. Handy straps to keep the baby safe.

my prem son is still very little for his age so struggles to fill out the seat when in however he has become extremely strong since using this and is not sitting unaided! I used it for when my son would snack between meals as I found it more convenient then strapping him into a high chair! It is so easy to clean and even portable to take round a friends or even to family that can’t provide high chairs whilst eating! They tray I find a bit flimsy and weak and the price is a bit to much I would of said more around the 15-20 mark but overall I would buy this product again! - Strengths:

This is easy to use and great for when kids can hold head up. It wasn’t the best for my second child who was chubby and the seat I had didn’t have a belt and baby tried to get up. The tray was annoying and I used without - Strengths:

We used the bumbo floor seat from when lo was 2 months old as she could hold her head up and wanted to sit constantly. Only just stopped using it at 8 months as her thighs got too big. (Had to stop using the tray at 6.5 months). One of the best things that we bought as we used it for feeding as well - Strengths:

I was so excited about the bumbo however I personally think it's cheaply made and looks cheap compared to others on market. I had a bigger baby who lasted just 3 weeks in it before he was too heavy in it. My advice would be to who around there are some other lovely ones about - Strengths:

I bought this after my son tried out a friends seat & he seemed to quite like it, however since buying it we tried him in it a number of times & he got bored pretty quickly. I find the safety clip is in the wrong place as I have to dig it out to strap him in - it almost needs to pull up higher. The tray also isn't easy to get on once they are in as you have to tip them slightly to clip it underneath. My son also has chubby thighs, but even so, I think unless your baby has skinny legs, you'll struggle getting your kid in & out of this. When I left my son out the whole seat comes with him as it's attached to his legs, I have to really stretch the foam around his legs to get him out. I am hoping he'll be more interested when he's a bit older but right now it just has one of his teddies sitting in it. - Strengths:

My boys were too chunky for these and I found it pinched there legs

This is a great item for when baby can sit but not for long. Helped my little one to have some independence whilst playing without having to worry about him flopping over on himself. I would say as soon as your little one is able to throw his weight then stop using, my lo tried to do this and almost upturned himself, obviously I caught him as these are to be used with constant supervision. Great item overall. I had one with a tray for first snacks and weaning. - Strengths:

So my 4months old son has just started to use his and he loves it however as he is on the chunky side..takes after his mum in the thigh department...I don’t see him being in it for too long as even at present his wee thunder thighs are squished into the leg space!!
His one has a tray with it which is a fab idea
It’s very durable, portable and easy to store which is great! However my little chunky monkey might not be in it for too long for me to be worrying about him trying to get out of it! Good product though all in all

This seat is great. My little boy is just starting to show interest in sitting and this is great to support him. The straps are good but are sometimes tricky to do when you are trying to put the baby in and do them one handed. It’s easy to wipe down and easy to store. When he learns to move around I think he will be able to escape so won’t last long. - Strengths:

These chairs are so fab! We have one which has lasted or eldest child, his cousin and our youngest! Well worth the price! It's so handy to have a place for baby to sit up and see the world around them when they are in that frustrated stage when they just can't quite so it on their own. The only downside we found was that our babies tends to be on the smaller side, especially in the booty area! As a result they kept having to prop themselves on the side which didn't look very comfortable. - Strengths:

Great colour options available, nice and sturdy when baby is able to sit up - overpriced. Only used a handful of times - he’s legs got stuck in it too so when I tried to pick him up the seat came with him.

Bought this when our daughter was about 3 months old and trying to sit up. Loved it for a while but by 5 months our daughter had outgrown it. Quite pricey for it to only last so long. Daughter fitted it perfectly aside from in the leg area. Babies have chunky legs and this seat is not made for that. Because of how tight it is I found it hard to use the straps. - Strengths:
