We have had these for 3 years and they are still as good as they were when we bought them. Excellent for sensing heat of food and even milk! Promotes hand eye coordination with some sensory use because of the colours. I’d advise hand washing as dishwasher can result in them tasting of detergent bit. I used these spoons around 7 years ago when I had my first child and being a first time mum you buy in to all gimmicky products - but one of the best purchases I ever made. They change colour as soon as too much heat is detected. Only downfall is if you wanted to continue to use them as baby gets bigger the size of the actual spoon isn’t very big. - Strengths:

I have been using this product since my child started weaning. I would highly recommend these spoons as they provide you with a great indication as to whether your baby's food is still too hot or starting to be cool enough to eat. It's easy to make good that is slightly too hot without realising it, so these handy little spoons make that less of a worry as they change colour in order to warn you the food is too hot for your baby. These are fab, I was given some as a new baby gift and have been using them for a couple of months. The sounds change from red through orange to yellow as the temperature gets to hot for baby which is so handy especially during a hectic dinner time! - Strengths:

These spoons are so very helpful. They turn from orange to yellow if the food is too hot for baby to eat. I have found it useful when I thought the food was cool enough but the spoon didn’t. It’s hard to know when you first start out and these just help put your mind at ease a little bit. They’ve been washed and sterilise so many times and still look new. I use these and I think they are fantastic, it will change colour to indicate that the food for your baby is too hot. When the food cools down the spoon will change again. This has helped us a lot when weaning our little one! - Strengths:

Great for highlighting if food is too hot for serving but seems to take a while for the colour to change once the food has cooled down. Whole family to use them. Very handy colour hanging spoons to feed baby. It makes it easier to feed baby.

Personally I love these spoons, they are so helpful with temperature testing and gentle on teething gums.

What I like about these spoon, is that they have a heat detector, which is good, because you know, that food is too hot for baby. On the other hand, they are too deep and uncomfortable to get food from it. Some food stays on the spoon. - Strengths:

I used these on my 6month old and found it hard to get him to be able to successfully take the food off, and the spoon was actually quite deep. The fact they change colour to show if the food is hot has been helpful when reheating frozen purée, and half is still cold but the other so hot- really useful.

These spoons are fantastic as they change colour when the food is too hot. The only problem I had was that it takes a while to change back to normal colour, however I just run it under a cold tap to change it back before checking the food again. Would definitely recommend! - Strengths:

I've been using these spoons for the last few months whilst I have been weaning my little boy and I love them! I like the heat sensor feature as it immediately let's me know if the food is too hot.
They are also easy for my little boy to hold as he loves to feed himself.

I chose these spoons for my newborn baby so I knew what was 'too hot' for when we started weaning. These spoons have exceeded my expectations. They turn yellow very quickly and turn back to normal colour in great time.
I have tried other spoons where the head is too big, too flat, too deep... But I find the tommee tippee one seems perfect for my little boy.

Tommee tippee heat changing spoons are brilliant! Having tried other simillar versions, they are not as clear and not nearly as sensitive. The dishwasher friendly spoons have been a staple since we began weaning and are still used every day! They simply change from orange to yellow to identify when a food is too hot, equally changing back to orange from yellow as the food begins to cool. The simple design and long handle are great when feeding baby and are also easy when baby is ready to start feeding themselves. I highly recommend these spoons! - Strengths:
