Kiddy Evoluna i-Size 2 Car Seat Isofix

We love this car seat. Myself and my husband did a lot of reviewing of the available car seats prior to making our decision on which one to buy. At the time of buying this was the safest car seat around according to safety reviews which was really crucial to us. It's ability to lie flat both in the car and on the pram is also fantastic and a feature that we use all the time. The car seat is heavy but despite this I am still easily able to transfer it into and out of the car despite being relatively small myself! It also lasts a lot longer than other car seats as has a bigger maximum weight and height limit than the majority of other car seats which is also a bonus. We have already recommended this car seat to a lot of our friends

The car seat is fantastic as it has the lie flat function which was great for long journeys when in car as it also lies flat while driving. It was easy to use but it is very heavy car seat which makes it harder to carry and is a bulky car seat. It come with the seat isofix which is brilliant. The large sun canopy is great to!

This seat is really easy to use and ditto the car. It has an isofix base which clips straight into the car and seat simply goes on top and metal bars clip into place. There are a number if areas that change to green when seat is correctly fitted.
To lie back you simply push buttons on either side of handle and push back, this uses a lot of room, so have to have behind passenger seat. There are a large amount of colours to choose from, We went for blue and white, which has proved great, now using with baby #2 and loving it.

When looking at car seats my first priority was always safety. When coming across his car seat I firstly thought- woah very expensive. However saying that I do feel it is defiantly worth the money. The car seat is not only isofix but isize which is the newest safety standard so future proofs the car seat for subsequent children. My baby has always looked so comfy and instantly fallen to sleep getting into the car seat. The lay flat feature put my mind at ease knowing my baby was safe and comfortable able to stay in car for longer than an upright seat allows.

The best on the market for safety and designed and tested by midwives this is a must. I got the black with grey insert designed by egg for kiddy so has been tested for the egg stroller as well perfect combo together. Could not be happier with my choice. The amazing lie flat function lets you go out in the car on a long journey and not need to worry about your babies posture or positioning.

The positives of the Evoluna i-Size 2 are the range of colour choices. WE went for the lime green for our son. I think it I choose again I would have picked a darker colour as the material shows marks.
The seat has a very easy function to change the strap sizes – just by clicking down the panel at the back and moving the bar up or down. The shade cover holds its own shape and doesn’t make a noise when moving up or down which is useful to keep a baby asleep.
The seat is suitable from newborn to one year based on weight and height. The main selling feature of the seat is its ability to lie flat. The way it lies flat is by moving the carrying handle forward and back. So to carry the car seat out of the car. You have to move the child back into the upright position.
This is an Isofix only seat – so this is great for cars with isofix as it’s easy to fit the base.
Then once the base is fitted, the seat clicks easily onto and off it. When fitting the base it has small windows which go green to show the various sections are correctly clicked into place.
One thing to note is that this seat takes up a lot of room in a car.
You are likely to need a large car to accommodate it. We have to have this seat behind the passenger seat to avoid the driver having to pull their seat too far forward.

We decided on this car seat as we are going on long car journeys and wanted our baby to be safer during this within a lie flat position. We had also been recommended it by a friend.

Yes it is expensive but the isofix base is included within the price so when you do look at some of the other car seats and factor in the base (such as cybex) it doesn't actually work out that much more. The evo luna 2 is also the latest design and fits with the latest safety specifications so that you know you are getting the best in terms of safety for your child.

Fitting the isofix base in the car is super easy. I would say to make sure that your car is large enough for the lie flat position before purchasing. Some smaller cars may not have enough room and if the lie flat feature is your reason for buying you may be disappointed. The kiddy website has a car checker which we found useful to make sure we could fit it in (we have an audit a5). The website will also tell you about compatibility with prams which was also useful. We have a bugaboo fox and the kiddy car seat fits on the pram perfectly with the appropriate adapters!

Another great feature of the car seat which isn't obvious at first is that when it is seated on the floor, you can rock it due to its shape. As you may not be in a rush to remove baby after a journey (as they will be in a lie flat position) you can gently rock them while in the car seat, which I think is a plus.

A small negative I would say is that it's not light at 5kg, I can pick it up easily enough right now without a baby in it but adding in a baby at six months I think might make me sweat a bit! Additionally when you want to take the car seat out of the car you have to recline the seat back to sitting up position if you are in lie flat mode, which could wake the baby up. I think these are minor issues though and i'm really happy so far with the purchase and how easy it was to set up. All ready for the hospital dash now!

this is a car seat I bought for my third child 4 months ago. the car seat unfolds into a lying position. when lying down, the child can travel long distances. we were travelling with a 12-day-old daughter of 1200 miles. it was convenient and safe . Now we use this every day in car and with pushchair and that be really the best od the best car SEAT.

I bought this car seat as a replacement to another brand and also because I had to make a 7 hour journey with my new born. I love that the car seat lies flat and therefore you don’t need to worry about the car seat time rule. Baby is supported in their spine and the padding makes baby look comfortable and safe. The three point harness system is easy to use and the isofix base connects easily into the car and also to the seat itself. I wish that I could attached it to my travel system - there are lots of brands that are compatible, however mine is not. This is easily checkable on their website though. It can be slightly heavy and it’s not the sleekest of car seats but my little girl loves it and looks comfortable when using it.
