I bought this product a few years ago and am very glad I did. It lets me check on the temperature of my children’s room without disturbing them. The colour changes mean that you don’t even have to go up close to read the temp. Excellent buy and well worth the money. - Strengths:

I love the Gro egg room thermometer! It gives me piece of mind. After being bought it by a friend for my baby shower we used it from day one and are still using it 2 years on! It displays the room temperature clearly and has colour changing effects which I find handy for a quick glance into the nursery. We moved house when the baby was tiny so it helped me stay calm that she was keeping warm in our new house that I didn’t know much about. I buy this for all our friends that have babies! It works but some colours are too similar and it can say a room is warm enough when it feels really cold to us, it’s handy to have. We used it very often at first but then we stopped as I said some colours we couldn’t tell sometimes which colour it was, also we relied too heavily on it. It’s easy to use and I’m sure it’s brilliant for some people, just not us. - Strengths:

I was unsure about getting one of these but i'm so glad I did! Quite often I think the room is a good temperature however it had been hot on a few occasions and when it turns blue in the night I know to flick the heating up. A brilliant little purchase I have to say. - Strengths:

I didnt find this product useful and thought it was expensive for what it is.
My son liked sleeping in the dark and the light disrupted his sleep. Once we put him into his own room there wasn't much point having the temperature measured there because we couldn't see it unless we went in to check on him.
Most baby monitors have a temperature sensor so we just used that so we could see the temperature on the parent monitor.
I regret buying the product and for the price i cannot recommend it - Strengths:

Great little product for baby’s room and reassurance. Comes with long lead so can stretch to plug. Acts as nightlight but still shuttle not to keep baby away. Smiley face to show good temp and sad to show too cold along with colours. -

Amazing product for all rooms. I live in a apartment and this works so well as our apartment gets very hot in summer and very cold in winter. Helps me monitor how hot or cold i need the room to be for baby. Would recommend to every mum and dad as first time parents. - Strengths:

Lovely product, it's easy to see of babies room is too warm or too cold just by glancing over at this. The power lead is nice and long which allows me to stand this on baby's wardrobe. I love how there are accessories available to change the oil of the gro egg if you want to.

Amazing product! I have tested the temperature of the gro egg with different indicators, all exact! The colour is an amazing feature for example, it gives of a blue light when the room is too cold. You can also buy different animal tops that you just place over the top of the egg, not a must but looks good. I went with the owl! Overall brilliant product. - Strengths:

I have been using this since my baby was born and it great to help ease any worries about if the room is too hot or cold. The colours are handy as you can easily know if it’s too warm or cold. Anything under 16 degrees goes blue which is actually a little too bright and has woken my baby up a few times, 16-20 degrees is orange and anything about 20 is red. Even though it can be bright, I just laid my baby a different way and it was fine. I still recommend this. - Strengths:

We loved this so much for no. 1 we bought another for my baby’s room. This is SO easy to use. Just plug it in and off you go. It has large numbers on it which are easy to read from across the room, but the colour warning system means you don’t even need to read it you can just glance to check it’s at the right colour. Only downside is in a heatwave when it’s bright red ‘danger’ colour it is very stressful as you can’t dl anything to bring it down and it’s a constant reminder! The light is quite bright so it acts as a nigh tlight too. This is good if you want one, but actually it is quite bright so if you don’t want a bright light in your little ones room then you may need to consider if this is for you. - Strengths:

All round a good product. Helps me make sure the room temp especially at night is correct I like how the colour changes as the temp changes so even if I can’t see the actual temp I know by the colour that all is ok. This is a brilliant product! Although a bit small the colour indicator makes it super easy to know when to adjust room temperature so its suitable for baby! I love this product. As a nervous first-time mum I purchased this 4 years ago with my son. It is quick and easy to read and the colour changes alert you right away if the temperature is not ambient for baby. As someone who needs almost pitch darkness to see, this light was perfect- not too bright but still allowing enough light for me to check my baby and see enough to breastfeed during the night. I’ve actually used this as a nightlight ever since I had my son and it’s still going strong now 4 years later and serves its purpose for my daughter too. You can also buy cute covers for it such as an owl, to make it cute for your nursery.

Like many new parents, I purchased a Gro Egg for the peace of mind that the environment would be the right temperature for our newborn son. The design is modern and simple, and the product is pleasingly light. Our first baby was born in November in a cold-snap so it seemed a wise purchase! However, this has been one of our least-used purchases for two simple reasons:
1) the temperature displayed was not accurate
2) the light colour changes when the room temperature changes. This is useful for parents to see the temperature at a glance, but if, as in our case, your room appears to be on the borderline between cold & ideal, then the light flashes different colours giving a disco feel and disturbing the baby! Less than desirable for a newborn!

Brought this for my baby it’s a brilliant idea and easy to use. I brought a owl accessories to go on top.
It changes colour from red which is too hot to yellow is ideal and blue which is cold. It’s bright even when my baby goes to bed.

With this product I can keep an eye out on the bedroom temp. Each colour is a certain range of temperatures.
All I need to know if it’s yellow the temp is perfect, if orange it’s ok. Blue is too cold and red is too warm. Perfect and easy to go by. - Strengths:

Brilliant Brilliant! You don't have to be able to see the actual temp as the colours do the job! I use it for a night light too which is very handy... when you wake up in the night you can just see what colour it and and bingo! You know I it's ok or not. A blue glow indicates it is too cold (under 16°C), while yellow signals the recommended temperature (16°C to 20°C), orange is warm (20° to 24°C) and red means it's too warm (over 24°C).
