I like this product, the light system of temperatures is very good. However, the lead disattaches easily which is a major drawback and I do also question the accuracy of temperature as my baby monitor often says different. The price is also a bit of a setback as it is a lot for what it is - Strengths:

I absolutely love this product for my little girls nursery. It tell the temperature of the room and also changes colour according to the temperature for example, blue if at to cold, red if to hot etc. We have even taken it on holiday with us so we know exactly what to put our little girl in to wear for bedtime! Absolutely love this product.
The gro egg once plugged into the socket glows to the colour of the room according to temperature. From a safety point I’m extremely happy with this product, you don’t realise until you buy one of these the condition of the temperature for your baby. As soon as I plugged it in I presumed the temperature was surface but actually it was a little too warm. This product is brilliant if you are worried about how cool or how hot the room should be. I bought one of these for when my little one first came home. They are excellent the colours are bright so it is easy to see if the room is too hot, cold or just right. Nice clear digital display, small enough to not take up too much space. I like the fact the cable is quite long useful if the plug socket is a bit far away. This room thermometer I have found is the best out there, it is accurate and gives peace of mind. Make sure you don’t place it too close to a window as this ives class readings but I think that is common sense. The gro guide for what to wear is useful but you need to bear in mind that some babies feel the cold more than others.
I personally found he product so useful I have 3, 1 in the bedroom, 1 in the living room and one who have use of we stay with family. They aren’t the cheapest but I think they are the most relatable and so for me it is worth it. - Strengths:

I love my group egg. One my worries as a first time parent was knowing whether my child was sleeping in the right temperature. I was told constantly by healthcare workers to be careful about my baby overheating as a sleeping baby will not wake up if they are too warm. Whether this is accurate or not I do not know but it scares me enough to do something about it. I ended up actually buying two groups eggs. One for my living room where my son sleeps during the day and one for my bedroom where he sleeps at night. I love the visual reassurance that the room is not too warm for Richard and am always checking to see what the temperature is even if he is not in the room; just out of my own curiosity. I would say a negative about the eggs is possibly accuracy. I have had both eggs in the same room before and they be different colours. The temperature difference was only by one degree but it is still a difference. I think a nice feature for future eggs would be a clock. I know there is a product that includes a clock but it is far more expensive. This egg is reasonable if on offer as o managed to get both of mine for much cheaper than RRP so shop around for good deals! - Strengths:

This is a great thermometer in that it has a coloured LED light depending on how hot the room is (yellow for perfect temp, orange for warmer temps and red for when it’s very hot)
This means you do not have to constantly check guidelines for the recommended room temperatures for babies as if is yellow you know it’s ok. Perfect for just a quick check of the room without needing to look at the display. - Strengths:

We purchased this as nervous first time parents who were unsure of what baby should be wearing to bed. Like that it came with a guideline for temperatures and clothing, really helpful. Really helpful little gadget.
Can you leave without it? Yes, but if you have a little baby especially if a hot weather then this is a little gadget that will give you piece of mind and make sure your baby won't over heat because you will prepared and you'll dressed your baby appropriately.
The monitor change the colour due to lower and higher temperature so it's very easy to read even from far away.

This is a great little product. The colours are clear to see at a glance, I.e red for too hot and blue for too cold so you don’t need to get up and go across the room to read the temperature. This is great for checking your baby is wearing the correct clothing for the time of year. Fab bright clear digital screen, but only to be constantly told that the room was too warm and according to their guide my baby should have been sleeping in her vest in the middle of winter!! This is a great little item that gives peace of mind. The different colours for temperatures are very helpful in letting you know whether the room is too hot or cold for baby. I do like this product it does what is says on the box, I just find you have to be careful we’re you place it my little boys nursery to get the right temp reading. However I do love how the colour change telling you if it’s gone hotter or colder, you don’t always have to look at them reading has colour catches you eye more. Also great for using a new light and it glows just enough for you to find your way around the room and find that dummy without turning the lights on . I use the gro bags also with my little boy so I find this great to make use his in the right tog at night , now we’re getting warmer nights.
Only weakness I find is the plug and cable being very bulky.

I was bought this as a baby shower gift & we have used it in both our room when our daughter was in with us & now in her nursery.
It's a lovely design & I love the fact it has 4 colours depending on what temperature the room is so you can see at a glance whether it's too cold, too hot or just right.
I use this as a guide to dressing the baby at night & whether to use a blanket etc.
The egg is small too so easy to pack in your bag if going away with baby which we have done.
The only downside is that you have to place it near to a plug socket as it can't be used without the cable so this means it's not always in the most convenient place.
You can also buy shells in animal designs to go on the top which is good for when baby gets older & needs a night light.

I was bought this as a gift and had never seen or heard of it before. My baby was born in the winter so I found this room Thermometer was an essential for us. I do like to be warm and snuggly (my husband says too much and often complains that it’s “too hot in here”) this thermometer proved he was correct. Could tell if too hot, too cold, correct temperature and a little warm for baby, which made me feel Completely at ease as I was always worried my baby would be too cold in the winter months and like I said proved it really was too hot in my house. Summer also as it helps you make the decision about what to dress your baby in for bed. Brightness not too bright to wake baby, but enough to light the room slightly. One thing I would say is that it turns blue for too cold, light orange for what temp should be, a darker orange for a little warm and then red for too hot. I am not 100% sure on accuracy as our baby monitor says it’s always a different temp. I do trust it however and it’s great to have a quick glance and it helps us decide what to dress baby in at night. I absolutely love the gro egg I had one with my son 11 years ago and I have since had my daughter and I’ve not only got one upstairs but one down stairs too, a lot of emphasis and literature given before and after birth is the dangers of over heating your baby, this gives me peace of mind knowing it’s accurate and the light up colours even better if you are a little unsure. A blue glow indicates it is too cold (under 16°C), while yellow signals the recommended temperature (16°C to 20°C), orange is warm (20° to 24°C) and red means it's too warm (over 24°C).
