Perfect to detect the Temperature in the bedroom and lights up to different colours, red to hot orange okay but could be cooler yellow for perfect blue to cold. Don't need to check the temperature just check the colour it's great for ease but indicates room temp perfectly - Strengths:

Our flat has a really funny internal temperature, sometimes there's a big difference between the lounge and the bedroom and it was difficult for us to monitor the comfort of the baby. This thermometer worked perfectly for us! My little one is now 16 months old and loves it, he likes to hold it and looking ag it while it changes colour while he holds it. The owl cover makes it extremely cute! - Strengths:

A great little device to show the temp of baby's room. As a first time mum this year it has helped me decide what my son has worn for bedtime. Nice and easy to use and my niece who is 2 can see temp when she sleeps and knows what nightmare she should be wearing. Would be nice if it was rechargeable and didn't need to be plugged in constantly - Strengths:

We bought this before our daughter was born. I like the colour coding for the different temperature ranges. We now mainly use it as a night light as her baby monitor relays her room temperature.
If someone didn’t have a thermometer on their baby monitor then I would recommend it. - Strengths:

We live in an unusual riverside property which is very cold in winter and currently baking in a heatwave! Our Egg has given me so much reassurance and confidence to settle baby in the most appropriate clothing and bedding and make adjustments overnight as needed. I found the rules on baby layers for newborns very confusing as a first time mum, especially with the challenges from the "Beast from the East" in March and then the hot summer nights. The light colours tell me at a glance through the door if all is well and alert me overnight if there are any changes in the temperature. It is an essential accessory on my bedside table and I thoroughly recommend it.
The only features I would change/add would be a way to dim or increase the light at night. The blue light especially has woken me up a couple of times (but I suppose that may be the point!). Although I must say the light has helped me get to the loo unaided and make up a feed! A small clock would be useful too for tracking night feeds and getting your bearings in the early hours!

I bought this when I was a nervous first time mum. It's excellent that you can just throw a quick glance rather than trying to see the digits, when youre tired in the middle of the night. - Strengths:

I brought this product when my baby was about 6 weeks old after the heatwave started. I was struggling to know how hot the room was and worried about him overheating or getting cold. This product gave me so much reassurance and allowed me to quickly and easily see how hot it was. It gave me added reassurance that I was dressing him for bed in the right things and that he would be comfortable. He started sleeping so much better. It has a lovely gentle glow indicating quickly whether the room is too hot or not. - Strengths:

This thermometer is great. It’s accurate and serves as a night light. The blue light is a bit too bright, but luckily the temperature seldom drops that low. Would definitely recommend the gro egg. - Strengths:

I feel this is fantastic. It changes colour from blue through to red so that you can tell if a room is too cold, hot or just right really quickly. It also gives you a happy or sad face with the actual temperature really easy to read. I have on occasion felt it was cooler/warmer than it was reading but I think it doesn’t take into account any breeze going through the house. Also if the sun hits it the temp of the egg will rise rapidly!! - Strengths:

I bought this on sale and have been very pleased with the purchase.
I am worried that I am going to get the room temperature wrong when our baby arrives and after testing this out it has really calmed me. I like that I will be able to have it on the side and will be able to tell from the door if it’s too hot or cold for our baby. I also love the design of it.
One problem is that the ideal temperature and the slightly too hot temperature colours (yellow and orange) are very close, so wonder if I may sometimes not be able to tell the difference, but I expect I’ll get use to it.
If it wasn’t on sale it is quite pricy so keep an eye out for a sale to buy! - Strengths:

We bought this almost 4 years ago for our first baby. It was a great help as a new parent stressing about baby’s temperature.
It came with an info leaflet with a table of temperatures & what to dress baby in for each temp!
It’s so easy to read as with a glance you can tell, yellow is perfect, red is too hot & blue is too cold. It really takes some of the worry away.
We’re using it again second time around and it’s still working a treat!
Doubles as a little nightlight although isn’t super bright. - Strengths:

This is an excellent product to have and worth investing in. When my baby was born I had an a small paper type of thermometer which didn’t give me an accurate temperature of the room. I then did some research on line and came across the gro egg digital baby thermometer. I brought it from mamas and papas as it was on offer at the time. I used the product right away. It was simple to set up and understand the functions. The gro egg changes colour and notifies you of the temperature of the room. If it’s red the room is too hot, so you know you need to cool the room by opening up windows etc. The blue light appears if the room is too cold and orange is when the temperature of the room is just right. What’s even good about the product is that it works as a night light too. - Strengths:

I brought one second hand as I thought they were a bit over priced new. Easy to use and can be customised with a silicone cover. The smiley/sad face let's you know if the temperature is suitable and the colours are good so you can look quickly if it's too hot or not. - Strengths:

The gro egg is a useful product. It's easy to read and you can tell if it's too hot/cold at a glance. The yellow and amber are a bit difficult to tell apart however this doesn't matter much as the temperature is also displayed.
The plug is a little bulky and can get in the way, and you can't turn off the light without turning off the entire egg. Aside from this it's a really great product - Strengths:

We had the Gro Egg brought as a present. We love it! We live in a bungalow with rubbish windows so the temperature can vary quite dramatically without you really realising I was always worried about what to dress baby in, if it's too hot or too cold for sleepsuits and blankets ect, but with the grow egg you can see at a glance if it is too cold or too hot or indeed just right. The glow of the light also works as a night light. I would recommend this product as a must have to any parent, really helps put your mind at easy while being a handy accessory to any nursery. The only downside is the long wire to plug it in as you have to be careful where you plug it so wire is out of reach of baby. A battery option would be nice maybe but that's just me being picky. Other than that I couldn't fault it. - Strengths:

Great product to have in baby room to help guide how warm it is and then dress baby for bed appropriately. Temperature is easy to read and colours are easy to distinguish. Also doubles up perfectly as a night light which helps when trying to sneak out of sleeping babies room without kicking anything!! I do find days though when Mum fear goes into overdrive because egg turns red, even though appropriate clothes and interventions are in place (e.g. Breeze from window or fan on). To help combat this it's key to ensure egg is very close to where baby is actually sleeping as cannot identify hot/cold spots in larger rooms (i.e. If baby is near window or radiator but Gro egg is other end of the room then reading for baby is not accurate). - Strengths:

Very pleased with this item, I was worried we were buying unnecessary items however I couldn’t have been more wrong. We use this daily, it can be used in are room in the house and easy moved. It gives an accurate reading and the light changing colour means you can check the room temperature at a glance. Amber and yellow are difficult to differentiate as it’s a subtle change in colour but the led digital screen is easy viewed also. Perfect for summer and winter use. - Strengths:

I got this Gro egg when I was expecting baby number 1, it's great. The Gro egg tells you what temperate it is in you little ones bed room so helps you decide what kind of sleep gear your going to but them in.
It tells you the temperature on it's display and the egg changes colour from blue (which is to cold) yellow (which is just right) and red (that is to hot!) It's good so even at a quick glance just seeing the colours can help you decide what to dress your little one in so they are comfortable throughout the night. - Strengths:

This was a really good price for what it is. I now feel fully prepared for judging my baby's temperature throughout the winter and into summer with just one look. The night light element is excellent, and the front is clear to read, with the colour corresponding to that temperature so good that we will not miss anything. I am not going to bother with the clip on character, as I like the stylish and simple look of the Gro Egg as it is. - Strengths:

Description
The Gro Egg Digital Baby Thermometer will help assure that baby's room is the perfect temperature. The colour of the Gro Egg indicates the room temperature. A blue glow indicates it is too cold (under 16°C), while yellow signals the recommended temperature (16°C to 20°C), orange is warm (20° to 24°C) and red means it's too warm (over 24°C).
