As a first time mum back last year I was constantly worrying if my baby was too hot. Having this in the room put my mind to ease.
It’s a small design that fits anywhere. The colour changing feature lets you know the temperature, perfect if you wake up at night with blurred eyes and can’t quite make out the reading. The colour will let you know easily.
As my first baby got older he started throwing it around and it has never broke so it is very sturdy.
It was just as useful when my second baby was born In 2018. - Strengths:

My son was born during a very hot July and I was really worried about him overheating on a night in case I dressed him inappropriately. By using the guide that came with the groegg I could feel confident that he was wearing the right amount of clothing. He sometimes felt a little warm with the grosnug on do removed it but I still found the guidelines helpful. Now I've had the product a while I only need to glance at the colour of the egg before dressing him for bed as different colours represent different temperatures. My only niggle is that the egg falls over easily and I've had to use Blu-Tack to secure it to the bedside table. - Strengths:

This product really helped during the summer to check room temperature as I was worried with my newborn.
Easy to see by display and colour how temperature is in the room. The only issue really is that the light is bright and does light up the room a bit - Strengths:

I bought this for half price and I feel that even that is expensive for a thermometer however it was recommended by Health visitor and as a new mum you tend to listen to their advice. I do feel it has been a waste of money as if I followed the guidance of the grow egg my baby would forever be sleeping in a nappy. Personally I feel that if I’m hot my baby will be and if I’m cold then he will be. I feel that I have spent a lot of money on a night light. - Strengths:

I bought this over the very hot summer so I knew how hot out room was with our little boy who was born 8/7/18. This was accurate and told me the exact temperature and shows in lovely bright colours when the room is too hot. Easy to use plug in and your off, nice design and easy to read features with coloured lights to accompany the temp. Found very useful with my newborn in the summer months. And I’m sure will be excellent in the winter months too. - Strengths:

We have bought this to use for our first baby. The egg displays the current temperature of your room, and changes colour based on whether the room is too hot/cold or just right. From this parents then know whether to try to cool/heat the room, or whether to wrap up or delayer their baby.
The egg does take a good few minutes to calibrate when you first turn on, which can be annoying if you want to be able to turn it off when not in use. Even though the light is more of a glow, which is useful for breastfeeding at night, my husband still thinks it's too bright!! It's also worth noting that whilst the colour is easy to read (unless you're colour blind!), the screen is difficult to read unless you are looking directly at it, so we find ourselves moving it to read it depending on where we're stood/sat/laying!
The egg is much smaller than I'd imagined too, but overall it has a great design, and the temperature display is SUCH a useful feature for parents! I'd definitely recommend! - Strengths:

Okayy so I actually love this and have 2 of them. Ones is our room and one is in my LG room. It’s so easy to use just plug in a go! It makes me feel so much better when I can actually see how hot the room is. I love the colour guide, the only thing I don’t like is how it’s really hard to get it to sit straight without having the wires behind it, if the wire isn’t behind it. It sits at a angle and makes it difficult to see. Over all I would definitely recommend it. - Strengths:

I never even though of a thermometer in my daughter's room until I bought another gro product. Once I knew about the gro egg I instantly bought one as I thought It was such a good idea. I have not looked back since. It puts my mind at rest that I know the room isn't too hot and I can gauge from the gro egg what sort of garments to put my daughter in for nap or become. And even before you know the temperature your can tell by the colour the gro egg is what the temperature range is like. Highly recommended to put your mind that little bit more at ease - Strengths:

Bought this on the recommendation of many of my mum friends. Not sure why they loved it so much because I hate it!
It doesn't give an accurate reading and makes me anxious that the room is too hot.
I'm glad it doesn't make any noise because I would hate it even more!

We’ve had this Gro Egg for 4 years now and find it so useful to quickly check the temperature of the room without disturbing baby. We know whether to add covers etc by quickly checking. My mother in law brought us this for a new born when he arrives. We decided to test it out to make sure it worked. We left it on over night as when we first turned it on it kept going up. Our house was 24.3•c when it finally hit normal temperature at 7pm last night. The colour of the light changes depending on the temperature. Yellow is ideal temperature. Red is too hot and blue is too cold. It even has a little face (happy or sad) which we liked.

We have found this makes a great night light. A lovely design, you can get toppers to change its design. We have stuck with the original shape. It shows sad faces if its too hot or cold. See picture. Red too hot, orange and yellow - ok, blue too cold. The blue light is quiet bright which can be distracting when the temperature changes from yellow to blue.
It shows the temperature clearly. Helps parents know what to dress the baby in at night.

We were given this as a gift when our son was born and it really is great, but not something I would have bought beforehand because of the cost.
It's so easy to use and gives you real piece of mind especially in this hot weather, we keep ours in the living room as it makes sense during the day to have it in a room we spend more time. The display is lovely and clear and large enough I can read it from across the room. The colour changes according to the temperature so you know when the room is too hot or cold or is just right and that is easy to see wherever you are. It does have an on and off button underneath but to use it has to be plugged in at all times there are no other options so if your watching your electric consumption this may not be for you. It is sturdy and well made but a little on the pricey side so it is a great bit of kit but not an essential one. - Strengths:

We have two! One in our bedroom and one in our living room. So helpful to us as at the moment it reads 32 in my living room! Really helps me make decisions on how to dress him for sleep and at home during the day. As that can be a surprising hard decision as we all are different and the rule of one more layer than you is hard to apply in practice as I can be hot and my partner cold. You will be surprise how cool the perfect temperature for baby sleep is!

I've took it on half price from Mothercare and I'm very happy with this purchase. It is easy to use and shows room temperature precisely. I'm taking this product with me while I'm travelling too. It helps to provide my baby perfect temperature. During the night the light helps to see from distance if it is good or not. I love the fact that it's takes couple of seconds to show the room temperature.
