This was my daughter's first set of Duplo and it's a great starter set as it has 10 number bricks, the train and carriages, two people and a cat. Encourages children to learn numbers and put in order as well as building.
I think it's good value when you consider how much they can get out of it. My daughter played with it loads and as her Duplo sets increased she has still gone back to the train. - Strengths:

My little one loves playing with this train, and pushing it around. He loves the bright colours and the people and animals. He cannot take the bricks apart or put them together so needs help with this. A good, fun toy that we can use as he grows up. The bricks are interchangeable and very flexible with his other Duplo, helping my imagination and hopefully little ones when they get older. - Strengths:

Received 2 of these for birthday gifts and still being played with 1 year on by my 2 year old. I love that there’s a 3 part train (I think it’s 3!), 1 little person and an animal.
I never thought there was a difference between cheap and more expensive blocks until we got both and mixed them together? The cheap ones just don’t click in to one another as well as the better ones like these..which is no good if you are building a robot who needs to be strong!!! - Strengths:

You can't really go wrong with this set, classic duplo train, with numbers for extra interest. My daughter loves making different train combinations. -

My son absolutely loves this set. The pieces are really interchangeable with other Duplo sets, so it can be used in lots of imaginative ways. He has just turned three and is very keen to identify numbers and put them in the right order. I really like Duplo as, unlike Lego, I don't have to worry about my 10 month old chocking on the pieces. They still really just if you walk on them though!! - Strengths:
