Bought this as opposed to Braun and not disappointed. Very easy to use and caps cheap to replace, gives a good accurate reading and feel a lot more at ease for getting temp via ear as opposed to anywhere else. Results in seconds so very convenient for wriggly babies! - Strengths:

I bought this thermometer due to the price of it. It's a lot cheaper than some other in ear thermometers. I love this and I would be totally lost with out it. I use it on my 4 year old and on 5 month old. It's easy to use and it comes with the hygeine covers. It gives an accurate measure as I took my eldests temperature and it was 39.9! I phoned the doctor and he asked to see her asap, he took it again and it was exactly the same (39.9) so I know and believe the temperature it gives me to be correct. Thermometers are a must have with children and the cheapest one doesn't always mean it's going to be rubbish. I've had this one now for 3 years and I still haven't need to replace the battery!

Brought when my new born had a cold to check temperature, was very simple to use. Give a reading in seconds very reassuring know it's near by. Hygiene ear covers easy to put on and it comes with plenty. Great for the whole family. - Strengths:

This has been an invaluable piece of kit for us when our babies are poorly. Very easy to use, and a much better price than the branded versions.
The replacement ear covers are also nice and cheap. It’s accurate and easy to use. It also beeps twice if the temp recorded is high so you know they are running a fever or not even before you look at the actual temp. - Strengths:

Designed for reading the temperature of small children with its small probe, the Tesco Ear Thermometer takes a reading from the ear in just 1 second.
It is perfect for general and first aid use on all the family, at home and on the go.
The thermometer emits a 'beep' sound when the temperature reading has been reached and a fever alert sound if an elevated temperature is detected.
It has a built in memory that shows the last reading.
It also comes with a replaceable long life battery and an auto off feature to preserve battery power.
The thermometer comes with 20 hygiene covers which should be replaced at every use to ensure cleanliness and prevent cross-contamination.
