We bought this carrier having had another top selling baby carrier before. The reason why we changed was because we were advised that the baby’s legs need to be in a frog position for the health of the baby’s hips, and we were advised to buy a sling by Ergobaby. We chose the mesh version because we have found baby carrying is a hot and awake art job particularly on hot days, but the mesh is more for the comfort of the baby rather than the person carrying it! This sling is really comfortable and providing all the straps are tightened up properly, it’s much better for our backs than other slings we have had/tried and carries a lot of the weight on the hips which feels much better than feeling it in the lower back and shoulders.
I must say though that there is a knack to putting the sling on without help from someone else, and had to google how to do this. It does require some flexibility and fiddling around with the straps. - Strengths:

Nice design and comfortable

Lovely carrier, super comfy from the get go after Birth with its back and waist support.
Only negative is as a newborn out baby needed the newborn insert which we had to spend more money on which is a little annoying. Once the insert was in we were good to go!
We are looking forward to using the carrier in the future as it grows and adapts with our baby girl. - Strengths:

I have tried 2 types of slings and a chicco carrier before eventually purchasing this ergo carrier. My baby didn’t like the slings and neither did I as I just never felt secure with them on. The chicco carrier was so confusing to work out and really hard to put on by yourself. This carrier is not cheap but it’s very easy to put on by yourself and very comfortable to wear for long periods. The breathable mesh makes it cooler to wear for me and baby which is great as we enter the summer months.
I love the fact you can use this carrier in so many different ways. My baby is 4 months old and has great head control so I have him facing outwards as he isn’t keen on facing inward as his view is blocked by the arm straps and as a very alert little boy, he wants to see everything! The one and only downside for me which is why I rated it a 7 in value for money and design is that I have a small baby (on the bottom percentile) and therefore this is a little to big for him. It’s still very safe to use, there is no way he is falling out as the design is very good there, it’s more the fact that when sitting in it, his height only takes his head to the chests strap rather than above it. I have it on the smallest setting and can see that as he grows this will quickly rectify itself but at present to ensure he has the visibility he wants and enough room to breathe easily i place one of his soft cardigans rolled up underneath his bum to prop him up enough to peer over the chest strap. I would highly recommend this product, just be aware of the size issue if you have a very small baby. - Strengths:
