Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Electric Breast Pump

This is a great product and it really made it easy when expressing. Being a first time mum, I was unsure what products to buy and what was the best for me. I’ve found this a joy to use and it’s made life just a little bit easier when needing to express so my partner can help with feeds. Only down side is it’s a little noisy but hey you can’t have everything !!

This was perfect for me, as unfortunately I couldn’t breast feed. This didn’t mean that my little one when without. However the downside of the product it is very noisy, I don’t think I have a video of my little one in her newborn stage without the buzzing of the pump in the background! The sterilising box is perfect and easy to store everything in when not in use - but c’mon when isn’t it in use!? It’s comes with a small TT bottle however bigger ones do fit. Comes with a small tub that fits inside a TT bottle too so you can store! Overall a good product albeit a bit noisy!

<p>Personally for me, for the amount of money I spent compared to how many times I’ve used it, it hasn’t really been worth it. I bought it to pump my milk so I could freeze it for if I was out etc but I haven’t really left him behind & it’s much easier & quicker to just breastfeed him. <br /><br />However, for those of you who are looking for a breast pump, this is a very good product. Once you know what you’re doing, it’s super easy to use. There are 3 modes to choose from, each varying in suction like a baby would when breastfeeding, starting off slow & working its way up. This fits onto Tommee Tippee bottles, but as my son doesn’t like the bottles, I use them to pump into & then transfer the milk into either his MAM bottles or the <a href="https://www.consobaby.co.uk/breast-milk-storage-bags-tommee-tippee.html">Tommee Tippee storage bags</a>. <br /><br />The only downside to this product is the amount of noise is makes. It is super loud, & makes you feel like a cow hooked up to a milking machine but it is much quicker than using the manual one & I find this helps get a lot more milk out (which is always a good thing). It’s quick & easy to take apart to rinse, clean & sterilise & just as simple to put it all back together again. All in all, a handy product to have if you’re going to be expressing milk often.</p>

I'm really disappointed with this electric pump and have even emailed the manufacturers to tell them so. I bought it as it seemed like a really good price but it's not considering how useless it is. First of all the pump doesn't mimic a feed at all, it just pumps at constant intervals. Secondly you have to lean forward when using the pump to get the milk to drain into the bag. Thirdly it traps milk around the rim so as you remove it from your breast it leaks. Nightmare! I wish I'd have spent more money investing in something better. I get better results using a handheld silicone suction pump.

The pump is comfortable and easy to use; however, it is a bit noisy. It could be more powerful but it has 3 speeds, so that helps.

This product is good but not as powerful as I’d hoped. I get more milk out and. Hand pumping. That said, I can easily pump and feed at the same time with the electric so it is convenient.

Great at doing the job, I used to keep it on flat out and produced a lot of milk, downsides are it’s so noisy, sounds like a heard of cows mooing.... And the tube kept falling out. But good for when your at home and it did the job

I love this product especially at the start when my will was all over the place this made sure that I wasn't wasting any and could freeze at a later date. It's very easy to sterilize in the container provided and is so quick to use.

Easy to use and assemble, a bit loud, and doesn't hurt. Just Remember not to put the tube in the steriliser as it will melt it. And start low to begin with so you do t bruise your nipple

I initially used the Tommee Tippee manual pump, but moved onto the electric pump for ease once I started to pump more often.

I love this electric pump as it is easy to use, it has 3 different speed options and it easily fits onto my breast. Having the different options helps the flow of my milk throughout stages of pumping.

The only downfall of the pump is the multiple parts which need to put together and cleaned each time.

Good pump, better than hand pumping. Has 3 different speeds so can do it quickly or slower. Can use batteries or mains so can be used on the go. Shame it has so many parts as makes it awkward to clean and sterilise.

Right, so this pump is super easy to use. Once you've mastered how to take it apart and reassemble it's quick and easy making the cleaning process less of a pain! It's a simple design, clear instructions, not too many buttons to add any level of complication for a sleep deprived mumma. All in all, if you want to express, it works!

Cons - Despite the breast pump being easy to use, i personally don't always find it effective. I find it a very very slow process and I often have to try hard to imagine my baby is feeding in order to get any milk flow. This being said once it's start it does get the job done. I feel it should offer different sized attachments for the breast. As a one size fits all may not be the most comfortable option. Personally I find that it is a tad large and feel like my nipple is going to be sucked off into the device. Once you get over that and find a way to hold it to make it comfortable and fit your breast shape, then you are set! Much easier than manually pumping away and losing grip.

Overall a good product which gets the job done but could do with a few extra details.

This was great for allowing my husband to feed my daughter. The noise didn't bother my baby. Great customer service from Tommee Tippiee sending me out a replacement tube for free upon request (I was willing to pay).

I have found that this pump does what it’s supposed to do. Cleaning is fairly simple, it goes together easily and doesn’t look like any of the parts would easily snap or break. It only lasts maybe 1 and a 1/2 pumps (say 45mins) on battery power which gets expensive if you have to pump away from a socket. I’ve been using for 3 months it still works well.

I want 100% happy with this when I first used it but in saying that I was first time breast feeding mum. I found it quite awkward and found I had to sit forward in order for my milk to flow down into the bottle. Is very easy to assemble and use though and easy to disassemble and clean. I would try this again as I know how it works but It just didn't have the wow factor for me

I bought this product on offer and am very glad of that. There are lots of removable parts to this which make it quite a faff to clean and sterilise. The air pump tube is difficult to fit and often falls off mid pump. The shield is comfortable and the multiple settings are good but generally I didn’t find that it expressed as much as my manual pump and found it fiddly.

I love this makes expressing so much easier. Shame you can't get it in deal with the express to go pack. Easy to use and take apart to clean.

Loved this pump was a lot quieter than my medela and I feel it was a more effective pump! Can be fiddly to clean was my only issue.

Fab pump, easy to use and set up. Instructions are really clear and easy to read. Has 3 speeds so can pump quickly when needed. A relief when engorged. Portable and easy to use and clean during breaks at work. Fab bit of kit, used with my first and now going to use with new baby

Absolutely in love with my breast pump, so say to use and can do other tasks (like feed my daughter or read with my son) whilst using it as its electric not manual!

I love how fast this works for me. It take me twenty minutes to express when i need to. I don't like how many bits there are to clean and sterilise. I also think it can use more setting to really get what works for you but this pump definitely works for me and have found it easy to use.

This breast pump was a god send for me, I had really bad sore full breasts that leaked all the time. After using this breast pump it was a massive relief can’t fault it.

Good pump! If you have tender breasts the three settings help. However I found the first setting could be quite sensitive. Bit noisy but effective at extracting milk!

I loved my breast pump. I really struggled with breast feeding and this pump allowed me to ensure my baby still received breast milk. I found the pump really quite comfortable and easy to use. There are quite a few pieces in the pump, but once you know how to assemble it is very simple and take only moments. I found it easy to clean and fitted in my steriliser well too, so i had no issue with keeping it clean.

Really pleased with the pump. As a first time mum I was worried about what it would feel like, if it would hurt ect but it is so comfortable and easy to use I was really impressed. The only negative I have found is the cup that goes around your breast has two parts which you have to take a part to sterilise but to put back together you need to handle them quite a lot which seems to defeat the object of sterilising. The steriliser box also struggles to fit all of the pump parts in at the same time so you have to do it in two stages which isn't a big issue but can be a little annoying if you are short on time (hense the 8 rating for hygiene and design). Other than that I am really pleased with the product. It has three different settings of intensity. I have found the first doesn't express much but is a really good starting point then after a couple of minutes you can go onto the next setting with little discomfort. I would recommend this product, especially to first time mums who, like me, had no idea how to use a pump.
