Very fiddly to put together the first couple of times, and not always very accurate, giving different readings though no time has passed. Also very hard to use on a wriggling toddler. - Strengths:

We bought this as we were advised that in ear is the most reliable way to take babies temperature. However the tube to insert into the ear is quite big for babies ear and we never got the same reading twice so I would often have to take 3 or 4 readings and take an average..not ideal when you have a poorly child. Perhaps ours was faulty but I didn't really rate this thermometer I'm afraid. - Strengths:

We bought this thermometer when our underarm one broke. I was under the impression that this style was more accurate and easier to use.
I find every time I have to use this thermometer I need to refer back to the product manual to remind me how to use it. When taking little ones temperate on my own it's a long and difficult process. The product doesn't sit well in his ear. It's extremely loud, which with a poorly baby it doesn't work in my favour and i have to repeat the process 3 times to get a more accurate reading and even then the figures shown are still all different.
I've since reverted back to an underarm thermometer as in my opinion they're a lot easier to use as well as being more accurate. I wouldn't recommend this product unfortunately. - Strengths:

As any parent will knowing having one of these in the home is a must! So when i found this in a baby event i snapped it up for a great price! However as good of a product i feel it is i think i.may invest in a non contact one as my little one doesn't like it in the ear, i would still say this is a great producut for the price point though and the refills are easy to get hold of - Strengths:

It’s great and easy to use, takes few seconds so don’t have to try and keep baby still for long. Comes with a fair amount of plastic ear pieces but not enough to warrant the full price cost. I got mine in the sale for £12 which I think is a fair price. One thing I would change is the ear piece is quite large and is difficult to get an accurate reading of a newborn - Strengths:

Ita really easy to use on small baby when is not moving but if i try use on my 19 months daughter is nearly impossible to do it. Can fully recommended fir small babies not for older one. Thermometer is giving diffrent reading dont know from what this dipends. So you must do it few times to make sure its correct. Its hygienic but you must always one time after one time changing rings.

I have to measure my son at least 3 times and in both ears to have an idea of his real temperature. My husband is a nurse and is probably more able to place it properly and quickly, but still he struggles to get consistent measures. I wish I read reviews before buying it as it seems that many people have the same problem. - Strengths:

I am lucky that my son is not a very ill child. I have only had to use a few times.
But it is so much better than just a standard thermometer.
I have a normal one for my old step children and bought this one for when my son was due to be born from a recommendation from a friend. It is great.

We were really disappointed with this product. We tried to use it several times and always got inaccurate readings plus it was really difficult to get into such a tiny ear. The noise it made instantly made our little one pull away so it was really difficult to use.
We now have a ‘no touch’ thermometer and it is so much easier to use.

Easy to use and hygienic, sometimes get different readings and checking myself sometimes changes.
I like the design and it’s cost effective.

Compact and easy to use. Lightweight

Not really impressed by this product and very disappointed.
If not put in the ear properly the reading is wrong and it gives extra stress if concerned about the little one’s temperature.
If I check the temperature 3 times in a row I will have a very different one every time.
For me it was a waste of money and the little sanitiser to put on top are too expensive.

Absolutely love this thermometer. It’s been a godsend when my little ones been poorly, the temps are always accurate and I’ve never had a problem with it. POOR. Shocking quality. You get a false reading everytime. My LG had a dangerously high and low temperature whilst i was using this, and ended up in hospital as this gave me a false reading! I contacted TT for them just to say they aren't sure what the issue is, despite thousands of others having the same issue. SHOULD BE TAKEN OFF THE MARKET. - Strengths:

I found that the application of the hygiene guards weren’t very good and they didn’t stay on well meaning we quite often get inaccurate readings! Having said that, it is quick to use and easy to get in the right position. -

A little expensive for what it is but comes with a few hygiene covers included which otherwise are a lot for a pack alone.

We used this when my daughter was a couple of weeks old, it didn’t seem to work too well as her ears were too small for the thermometer. I started using it again when she got older and it seemed better, however, the readings didn’t seem to be very accurate. I’d do it twice in the same ear within a matter of seconds and there would be a big difference. I now use an underarm thermometer and gives a more accurate result.
