This is such a plain and simple flavour. My son loved it as the first food he ever ate. Its easy as I could just squeeze it straight onto a spoon for him. The only downside is that I feel the price is quite high for such a small pouch, and when they first start to eat they barely eat any so a lot gets wasted even of you keep it for the 48 hours they advise you can. - Strengths:

Got these as one of our little ones first foods. Despite the funny faces he was giving us he nearly at the whole pouch. I tried it and it tastes nice. Easy to prepare. Cost seems to be reasonable and in line with the others.
The design of the pouches mean they are easy to take out and about. - Strengths:

Don’t have a bad thing to say about these Ella Kitchen pouches apart from maybe the fact that sometimes the lids can be quite stubborn to untwist! Other than that, these pouches are a god send.. so easy for mums on the go or mums who simply just don’t have the time to do batch cooking. The packaging is fun and clear and you know you’re getting something healthy for your baby! I also love the fact that these are from 4months + as my baby is definitely one of those that is more on the hungrier side so started solids earlier, the carrots was one of his first tastes and he absolutely loved it! And wanted more! The texture is perfect for weaning as it’s so smooth and all you have to do is pour it into a bowl! Amazing! I now bulk buy these as the price is just so cheap and so worth it! - Strengths:

My daughter really wasn't very keen unfortunately. These pouches are very strong tasting and don't smell very nice. The packaging itself is very informative and comes in a handy sqeezy pouch. Also comes in small pouches for small appetites creating less wastage and can be keep in the fridge for 48 hours after opening. - Strengths:

These small pouches are a good size for first tastes and my baby really liked them! I do however think they are very overpriced and I would be more inclined to make my own or buy supermarkets own brands based on this! - Strengths:

Very convenient using pouches and the ingredients are all organic. Not much sugar in them which is great. The perfect consistency for my son who's not quiet 6 months yet so it's easy for him to digest. My son loves Ella's kitchen range -

My baby loved this carrot puree. It's a nice runny consistency and he was able to take it from the spoon easily.
Used this as first tastes.
The pouches are obviously going to be more costly than preparing purees from scratch yourself, but for babies just starting out on weaning, they make it much easier! The left overs can be stored in the fridge or frozen for another day, so you don't need to have any waste.
Feel reassured that the product has not nasty additives, and it tastes like it should. - Strengths:

I’ve just started weaning my baby and started off with the Ella’s kitchen first tastes veg. They are easy to prepare and can be kept in the fridge to use the following day. As a baby only needs a couple of spoonfuls, a lot is wasted out of each packet; however I much prefer these pouches as opposed to preparing my own as it saves so much time. I will continue to use Ella’s kitchen pouches even though it will be more expensive in the long run. - Strengths:

The carrot pouch is great as one of your babies first tastes of solid food. They are quick and easy for when you’re on the go but quite costly and perhaps a bit wasteful in the beginning when baby is only tasting a teaspoon or so. They work out more expensive than it would be to chop peel, boil/steam and blend carrots yourself, but to save on time they are fab and they contain only organic ingredients, which is a bonus! I have used these pouches with both my children when weaning and would definitely recommend! - Strengths:

Using this pouch saved on preparation time for me. I'd been steaming and blending everything and it was just taking away from spending time with my daughter! Plus any we didn't use could just stay in the pouch in the fridge for two days so no waste either! The consistency was just right for early weaning. - Strengths:

My baby loves carrots! He loves eating them raw as a finger food. I purchased this thinking it would be a hit but unfortunately my baby had a very upset tummy. It would have been better if it would have combined with some other vegetable to blend the taste well. Baby liked the taste but the product is not very delicate. Could have been better! - Strengths:

Ellas kitchen products are all generally good, but expensive. This one is similar.
However Ella makes the mix much smoother then I could reproduce at home.
The Very smooth consistency is good for young babies. Orange colour as you would expect which can stain clothing easily. The main downside is the cost 90p full price - can often get it on a multi buy deal which helps. But for carrots this is expensive. Very simple to use, can be eaten straight from the packet, or put on a spoon. Can be frozen. If eaten with a spoon can reuse over a 24hr period. Which helps in the early days of weaning when then don't eat much, not to waste it. We found it useful as my son only liked very smooth food initially. - Strengths:

So currently doing the weaning battle with my 5month old and decided to try single vegetables and single fruits first to see what he took to before mixing it up a bit.
Bought Ella’s kitchen carrots the other day and tried it today for the first time. As you can see from the photos my son loved it!!
The portion size is perfect for weaning as it’s not too much however I like the fact if there was too much for him I could store it in the fridge for up to 48hours and it can also be frozen.
The ingredients are perfect...carrots and water...no nasties!! Which also makes it gluten free which may be useful for some parents!
Nice and smooth and brightly coloured packaging with an easy to open top. I feed straight from the pouch onto a spoon for convenience but it can be heated in a bowl.
Love the product however slightly more pricey than its competitors on the market. - Strengths:

These ellas kitchen pouches are great for first time eaters. The carrot was my sons favourite. They actually taste like carrot. They squeeze out the packet so you can pop in a bowl or if you are out and about you can warm the whole pouch in water. My toddler now likes to eat these as a snack and just slurps it right out the pouch. I would say they are expensive though we only really use them for days out. - Strengths:

i found the portion size in this pouch small even for trying baby at stage one on new tastes. if baby likes carrots i found i had to offer two other items . or one bigger pouch to fill her appetite and the price of pouch was not as competitive as some other similar leading brands. that said the quality and ease of use is great and thumbs up from babies tummy and myself. nutritional and no added rubbish as clearly noted on the back of the pouch. - Strengths:

We started weaning with these little pouches as I like the fact that they use only carrots and a little bit of water. I was quite surprised by the consistency though. Was more clumsy and not a smooth as I would have assumed. The pouches are easy to use. You get the puree easily out and can store it on the fridge if needed. They are great for journeys as they don't take so much space. Just the price is quite high for such a little pouch. - Strengths:

Very easy to use and perfect texture for first foods. Sadly my daughter was sick every time she ate these (tried twice) although she enjoyed eating it at the time and is fine with carrot steamed and blended by me. Expensive but convenient for busy households or out on the go but sadly not for my little one. - Strengths:

My little one loves all the Ella’s Kitchen foods. I wouldn’t say stains are the weakness as carrot always will leave the stains whether or not they’re ready to use or homemade. It is quite pricey but what I’ve realised is that all baby foods are and these ones are actually worth the price. Ingredients are fantastic. No unnecessary products are added, they taste so well, soooo easy to prepare, and the amount is just right. 4 months old baby really doesn’t need more and the older baby gets, the bigger products are. I’m really careful when it comes to ingredients used in baby foods and Ella’s Kitchen is the only one I buy. - Strengths:

I've put expensive for a weakness but you can't put a price on laziness. I buy Ella's kitchen products every time when trying my son on a new food before batch cooking them myself as there is nothing extra added to them. All in all does the job and my son likes them most like home cooking. - Strengths:
