Generally a good car seat for the money, handle comfortable and seat is well padded. Easy to fit and adjust although not so supportive when baby first outgrows the inserts but great to have the new born insert with removable block for next stage, different shoulder harness heights and a hood. Instructions should be in the box though, not in the handy space inside the seat as took me a while to find them and realise all the great features!! - Strengths:

This car seat is so ideal for me, this car seat attaches to my bugaboo so easily. The biggest downfall on this car seat is the fact that the head support is attached to the foam block inside and you can't separate them. As babies grow really fast, they will grow out of this car seat very quickly. When my son became 5 months he started to looked very squashed. I was advised the foam block but I feel that it is not comfortable without it as the seat becomes very hard and too deep.Read more - Strengths:

Love maxi cosi. Good quality, so easy to get my son in and out of the car seat. Only problem is that it’s a bit tricky to get the covers off to clean and out them back on. I did change the design cover on it but that’s only because I wanted something different but for quality I couldn’t fault it

Bought this car seat as it was one of the ones recommended as compatible with my pram system (mama and papas xt) it was the lightest of the recommended ones and I'm a bit of a weakling when it comes to carrying things.Read more
It ticks the boxes of everything needed in a newborn car seat although it's not particularly large so can see baby growing out of it sooner rather than later.
It is very easy to strap in (we haven't got the cabriofix base) and is very secure once in.
Took me a while to find the canopy as its tucked away in a pocket in the back, I nearly bought one as I didn't think it had one but then thanks to internet I found it .
Baby loves being in it and sleeps really well (even though they only recommend them being in it a short while)he'd sleep all day in it if he could so I'm guessing that means its comfortable - Strengths:

We really like this car seat as it has been straight forward for us to use & get used to as first time parents. It’s easy to carry to & from our car & also easy enough to secure into the car. We like the fact that we can use this in any car as there is no need for a base so we have been able to use it in our parents car. I like the simple design of this car seat my only complaint is that the hood can be stiff to put down sometimes but hopefully that will become easier as we use it more often.Read more - Strengths:

I bought the basic maxi cosi car seat as I thought there wasn’t a great difference across the range. It’s a great little car seat however I love out on a pram so my baby is in his car seat a lot to go into

Good, trusted car seat. My daughter was 6 weeks premature - I felt confident that she was comfortable & safe with the newborn insert although she was on the small side. She is now 7 months old & we still use the car seat day in day out. Easy to use & aesthetically pleasing. - Strengths:

A neat and affordable first car seat, it fit well onto our old stroller base. The sun shade tucks away with ease. It was light and easy to carry around. On a hard floor it worked well as a rocker.

Becomes heavy when baby older, could maybe do with one button to release handle bar as very difficult with 2 if in car and want to put down.
Little extension nearly £200 for seat and isofix for 9 months.

Used this from birth and my baby always looked comfy and fell asleep easily in it, easy to carry her in and out the car using the iso fix base. Unfortunately she got too heavy to carry in it and I found it awkward to get her in and out of it when It was in the car so had to upgrade to the next stage seat but we got about 9 months use out of it -

It's an OK car seat but not the best. I guess is good value for money as its simple and has what you need. Washable covers. I just think the padding could be a bit better. I just felt like there only a thin cover between the plastic and the baby and its not good for long journey. - Strengths:

I bought this as a car seat for travelling to/from the supermarket and going around the supermarket mainly . I found it was light weight and fitted the trolley slot for car seats great. Baby always seemed very comfortable and snug. Although I was a little concerned that long term use would cause some spine issues and this seat seemed very deep. Rain cover was a little tricky to put on before removing the seat from the car which wasn’t ideal. Also the fitting of the seat with a seat belt can be a little frustrating and is definitely a two hand job so if you have a upset little one it’s hard to use one hand to comfort or grab a dummy while installing. Again item was lightweight and very useful for travelling in around the town to family and friends but I used a more sturdy chair for long journeys especially of it was for a motorway. Fabric was easy to take off to wash and put back one, fabric was always soft and comfortable. Chair lasted 3 of my babies before I upgraded and was still going strong.Read more - Strengths:

Lovely car seat, easy to use and clean as I had to take all the fabric off to clean and easily came on and off.
The downside was that my daughter was small and it didn’t support her as well as I would like and she looked like she was squished into a ball.

It is practical, well designed, not bad price and secure.
I like how you can take it and put it in the maxicosi chassis with the adaptors. If the baby is sleep you don't need to bother them.

I have been using this car seat every day now for 3 weeks and although it has good points like being lightweight and affordable I find the position my newborn is in looks uncomfortable and puts his chin much closed to his chest than id like. The buttons to release the car seat from the isofix and pram are slightly awkward as you have to use both hand and end up holding the seat practically from the bottom which is not a massive issue with a light newborn but as he gets heavier id worry about dropping the car seat when changing between car and pram as id like my arm through the handle for safety.Read more - Strengths:

Compared to other car seat maxi cosi ones are quite small this means my little boy has nearly grown out of it at 4 months!!! But can go in the next stage yet. However it’s great having a base to it for the car.

I bought this on offer but the design looks different to my sister in laws and looks a lot less comfy than hers, so they must have changed the design.

Description
The lightweight Maxi-Cosi CabrioFix infant carrier is suitable from birth to 13 kg and is compatible with Maxi-Cosi and Quinny pushchairs to form the perfect travel system.
This car seat features enhanced Side Protection System and a soft chushioned seat with newborn seat reducer.
Practical belt hooks will assist in keeping the harness out of your way when placing your child in the seat. A one-pull harness adjustment ensures that it is set at the right tension. As your baby grows, the harness and headhugger can be altered so that it is always positioned correctly.
The CabrioFix installation is very easy with Maxi-Cosi's range of click-and-go base units or it can also be installed using the car's three-point seat belt.
