After my husband said our daughter didn't need any Christmas presents as she was only born in September, I purchased this, although the age range was older, I thought lights and sounds would be fab we could press it until she was bigger, at 4 months old, she actually manages to knock it about herself, she loves the lights and sounds and bops away with it, it was the best toy I have purchased and I'm so glad we did. We take it in her pushchair when we are going out for dinner and its like a disco in her pram top! Very colourful and noisy but fab for growing little ones.Read more - Strengths:

My daughter loves beatbot so much, for a small product it makes a huge noise! It's very colourful and bright (which I think is what my daughter loves the most) easy to put in a bag and take with us! A godsend and a great toy! - Strengths:

The robot is a huge hit with my 10 month old daughter. It records your voice and plays a beat to it. It plays freeze and dance with your child. Also songs whilst the toy wiggles side to side. I'm glad I purchased it as was worried it may be too babyish for her but I was so wrong. It's so cute to see my little girl dance along to the music.

It’s got a good range of songs and lots of colourful lights, she especially likes that beatbo will record something she says and sing it back to her.
The only negative to this toy is that the mechanism which makes it move is very loud, the toy has 2 volume settings but the quieter one is pointless because the mechanism is so loud that you can’t hear the songs on it’s quieter setting. The louder setting though is fine and still not deafening like some toys!
Definitely worth the price (especially as it’s on offer regularly) given how much use this toy had had now! - Strengths:

Our daughter loves her dancing BeatBo! It lights up, dances & sings. It’s also bright & eye catching, keeping her entertained for quite a while. It has a record and repeat function too. My nephew & both niece’s also had their own BeatBo’s & they all loved it too. Our’s is only a couple of months old but they all had theirs for a few years so I believe it will last well. We love Beatbo in our house. My little girl loves playing with him and dancing along. He sings, dances and lights up and you can also record short phrases that he can repeat. He's so colourful and grabs her attention brilliantly which is exactly what you want from a toy. My only complaint is that the volume is a little bit quiet, it's not normally something I'd complain about, but personally fell it could be a little louder. She just loves it. The bright flashing colour and exciting up beat music captures her attention. She will sit and interact with her beatbo.for up to 10 minutes at a time. This is a great little toy for my son and it’s a great way for my son to develop in so many different areas as it sings about colours and the ABC song. It very interactive and very easy for my son to press the buttons on it. It’s really good as we can record our own voice and it will put it into a song. Another good thing about it is that I can change the volume level up or down

We love Beatbo! My daughter was bought hers for her 1st birthday and was an absolute favourite so I’ve recently purchased one for my youngest baby for Christmas. My boy got this for his first birthday and it's his absolute favourite! He has started standing up dancing along with his beat bo, he presses the red button and waits then speaks and when it plays back to him as a song he gets so excited! Brilliant. My daughter had one for her 1st birthday. In the last year this toy has been played with endlessly and is still like new. It been thrown, bitten, dribbled on and it's not damaged at all. It keeps her entertained to ages and now she's signing along with the songs. The toy is very interactive and all the kids absolutely love it.
It sings songs, learn the alphabet, follow the commands, and just has great colours flashing lights.
You can also record a message and it turns it into a song.
Usually when I first give it to the child when they are 1 they learn to press the buttons quickly and love watching the lights, but a few months later as they develop I love watching them copy the moves and clapping along.
It is always my go-to 1st birthday gift, however it isn’t the cheapest toy in the toy shop. You can sometimes get them on sale, but usually they are around £30+ most places. But so much fun.

Although the recommended age for the beat bo is 9+ months, my five month old really enjoys it. A friend with an older baby had one and that’s how I found that she liked it so I purchased my own. Although my daughter is too young to learn what the beatbo is trying to teach she loves the different lights and songs and I imagine it will be a toy that will keep her entertained more and more with age. My little girl adores this toy. It’s been her favourite from very early on as he lights are so bright and colourful they will mesmerise everyone. This plays tunes and games. It has two volume levels which is definitely a plus for parents. Slightly pricier than some toys but definitely with it for us. I bought this for my little girl when she was 4 months although the age appropriate advises 6 months I believe. She loves it!
