I used this from when I found out as I was pregnant up until 20 weeks (I switched to a tummy butter then as I received it as a gift). Loved applying as soon as I got out of the shower. Spreads easily and felt so moisturising on the skin. I used it all over bump, thighs and bum and a little higher up. I have lots of tattoos so was worried about some of them distorting, but this stuff seemed to do the trick and kept my skin supple all day. Takes a little time to absorb so wouldn't recommend getting dressed immediately after application, but it's warming and has a mild natural scent which makes it very pleasant to use. Would definitely recommend. - Strengths:

This is well known for its stretch mark prevention but it is so much more.
While trying to conceive and while pregnant, women should avoid using retinol and collagen products which look after our skin, specially our face. This was recommended to me by a dermatologist for preventing fine lines and it is a very good product for that, occasionally applied. It is also a good product if you have a mark from a cut/scratch: once the redness of the scratch has disappeared, applying this daily will help the scratch heal without leaving a permanent mark. Love love love this product, even if pricey. I have bought it as a gift now to all my mums to be as a face cream alternative :) - Strengths:

I've been using this for a couple months now, nearly 23 weeks pregnant and feel like I would have had lots of stretch marks by now as I've grown quickly and was very slim before yet not a single mark. Leaves skin feeling great once absorbed and helps with itchiness. - Strengths:

I’ve been using Bio Oil since I found out I’m pregnant. It leaves my skin soft and smooth. Not sure it reduced existing scars but definitely no new stretch marks (6 months pregnant).
It’s a bit oily so you have to wait until it absorbs (quicker on warm wet skin), also the bottle leaves a ring of oil on n the surface do be careful where you store it.

Used with my first and using now whilst pregnant with my second - no stretch marks yet! Love how easy it is to rub on and treat it like a belly massage before I go to bed. Very relaxing and makes me feel luxurious and pampered. Also a great excuse if you want hubby to rub your bump! - Strengths:

I used this from the start of my pregnancy and I have absolute no stretch marks. Obviously it doesn’t make miracles, I combined this with a healthy lifestyle in the pregnancy and with fitness untill 5-6 month, but I m still using bio oil and it s really comforting my skin. - Strengths:

I use this everyday on my growing pregnancy tummy, it feels nice and rubs in easily. I don't know if it prevents stretchmarks but mine certainly haven't got any worse from when they first appeared quite early on in my first trimester. I also use it when my arms and legs feel particularly dry, and also on my face occasionally when it feels particularly dry irritated and it feels very soothing. Just need to be careful as it's east for some of the oil to to go down the outside of the bottle and potentially leave marks depending where you put it down. - Strengths:

I love this product! Not only has this product helped me prevent stretch marks throughout my pregnancy but has also helped reduce the stretch marks I had on my thighs and breasts from when I was growing. I've seen a few reviews say that this product does not sink in quickly but in my opinion I think it sinks in your skin very fast you just have to make sure that you do not apply too much product. I love the smell and although this product can be a bit pricy I really do think it's worth it as it's made my skin look so much better and made me feel more confident in myself, I highly recommend this product. - Strengths:

This is one of the top rated products for using to prevent and help fade stretch marks and I can see why. It's easy to massage in (I've used it on my tummy, legs and chest) and though it can appear a bit greasy it really does sink in. It smells quite pleasant and the bottle lasts for ages. I've got quite sensitive skin and it works well for me.
Unfortunately it is a little bit more expensive than some other skincare options but it's definitely worth it. It's helped my skin in the past and has been a preventative measure during pregnancy. - Strengths:

this products actually works! bio oil is great if you have light stretch marks or very red and purple stretch marks - mine were very bad and kept using this oil and was great - also top tip is when having a bath put some in - the only problem is when applying this oil it feels like it never dries - and very oily. - Strengths:

I was excited to try bio oil in my first pregnancy and went out to buy some quite early on in my pregnancy. I applied it across my torso and on some existing stretch marks on my legs but within about half an hour my skin started itching all over, to the point that it felt like my skin was on fire. The only way to relive it was to sit in a cold bath and wash the oil off thoroughly (not so easy to do). I have since discovered a few friends who have had similar reactions so possibly worth doing a patch test first. I had no reason to suspect I would have a reaction as I do not have sensitive skin and have never reacted to cosmetics before or since. - Strengths:

I tried lots of different stretch mark creams and oils and always found them to be quite sticky or really thick oils, but I find bio oil blends quite nicely into the skin.
I also find using it straight after a bath or shower helps the stretch marks feel and look less prominent.
I use this coupled with palmers stretch mark cream and find both together have definitely made a difference to the appearance of my stretch marks. They've not fully hone but they're fading - Strengths:

I bought this at a family members reccomendation; I had spent around £10 on a decent sized bottle and used it from approx 16 weeks pregnant. It is very easy to massage into skin and feels comfortable to do so, as well as not affecting my eczema which is a must for any skin product I use. On application your hands get very only and slippery so do be careful not to drop the bottle like I did, or it makes a bit of a mess!
I applied this daily to my bump and noticed I had no stretch marks even at 35 weeks. One thing I didn't realise however, in my naivety of being a first Baby, it that stretch marks don't just occur on the bump! At 32 weeks I had noticed I had a few stretch marks down my thighs and bottom! Once I saw this I applied it to those areas too and they didn't get any worse- in fact, a year on they aren't even noticeable!
I'm now 30 weeks with baby#2 and have not had any stretch marks so far this pregnancy, I do feel that this product has helped a lot in this.
A must have in pregnancy, even post-birth we can still have our body confidence with the help of bio oil! - Strengths:

My first impression of bio oil is that it would help clear my acne scars and make skin more moisturized,i thought that this would work on my acne scars , i applied some to my face and felt very greasy, it absorbed into my skin quite slowly and overtime it didn't do much other than moisturize my face and i really didn't like my face feeling oily, i don't use it as much other than using a small amount just to moisturize my skin and it does have a lovely scent of lavender and rosemary which i think smells absolutely wonderful. Overall it was good to keep my skin moisturized but it didn't help with the scars. - Strengths:

I’ve been using bio oil since I was 15 weeks pregnant, and even though I still have stretch marks there are no red marks and the ones from pre pregnancy are fading. It helps with the itchiness of my skin from the stretching and the baby loves it when I rub into my bump! A little goes a long way. - Strengths:

I've been using this oil during my pregnancy but I want satisfied with it. I still got some stretch marks even though I was using it during and after giving birth. It didn't help me much. - Write a review
