I bought the bugaboo cocoon as an insert for the chameleon carrycot when my daughter was first born in the winter months. It was perfect to keep her warm and snug. It also helped her look a little less lost in the the carrycot. It has buttons on the front to fold it down so that her face wasn’t covered if she wriggled down so was able to keep her feet at the bottom. The zip open feature was also very handy for when going inside warm shops to be able to keep her cool as well. It also came with a little head support that was perfect to stop her head from wobbling too much and to give her some extra comfort. It also has the capability to be used in the seat unit of the pushchair however when we came to needing to use it in this way my daughter had grown too big for it. So is suitable more for smaller/younger babies and we had so much use out of it prior.

I loved the cocoon with my first child I found it very easy to keep her warm and comfortable when she was young (she was a December baby so very cold months)
They have slits in the back so that they can be used with lay flat on the bugaboo bee by using the belt system which eliminated the need to purchase the separate carry cot and meant that I could strap her in also for extra safety - Strengths:

Soft, light and temperature regulating, this beautiful Bugaboo 'Bee Baby Cocoon Light' is perfect when providing weather protection and comfort for your newborn until they are up to six months old, or when out and about in your Bugaboo Bee pushchair.
Just attach the cocoon to the seat of your Bugaboo Bee and secure with the harness. The top cover folds down and can be affixed in different positions by buttons or can be zipped away to help you control your baby's temperature. The water-repellent material helps to keep away any moisture.
The Cocoon is machine washable for your convenience so you can keep it looking in its best condition. It fits with the Bugaboo Bee, Bee3 & Bee 5 pushchairs only.
