Useful, especially for first time parents who may be feeling apprehensive about the bath and room temperatures. I don't feel it was an essential item but useful all the same. My criticism is that I felt it was difficult to turn on. - Strengths:

I was planning on investing in two separate thermometers, but when I saw this on offer in Lidl I picked it up and thought we would see how we got on with it. We haven’t needed anything else! Our baby monitor shows us the temperature in the bedroom so we use this one just for bath time now, although we did use it in the bedroom to begin with. It’s a great little device, accurate and comes to the reading quickly, floats about in the bath with the other bath toys. It’s a bit of a pain to turn on as you have to tap it and it lags, but generally I lobe this product.

Being a first time mum and my little one born in January I was always worried that the room was too cold so having this put me at ease to know that the room wasn't too cold.
Bath time now is a lot easier as I know that it is there perfect temperature for the baby and not relying on my judgement - Strengths:

Easily my top 5 buys when i had my 1st born. I was always very worried about bathing my children without really knowing if the bath was too hot or too cold, and this product was amazing at telling the exact temperature of the bath instead of using your elbow to test the water. I love the way that if the water is too hot the red light starts to flash as a warning. Easy to use just have to tap the thermometre to turn it on which will start at the room termperature and put it in the water and it will show what the water temp is. However over time i found the rubber on the thermometre has gone moudly which is a pain. - Strengths:

Perfectly shows temperature in the room same as the baby bath water. Blinking red if the water is to hot, which is very helpfull. The only disadvantage is it's not showing temperature constantly, you have to dab it to display the temperature back. - Strengths:

I bought this when it was on sale in Lidl. It worked at first but I had to replace the battery straight away. After I replaced the battery, it only works half of the time. And when it does turn on, sometimes it switches back and forth between temperatures by about 5-10 degrees. I’ve had so much bother with it that I don’t trust using it anymore and I’ll be buying a different brand thermometer. - Weaknesses:

I had one of the colour change ducks before trying this product, and was disappointed with the inaccuracy. The Tommee Tippee thermometer is, however, much more reliable and I feel safer bathing my baby. I would definitely recommend, and it is worth the price for peace of mind. -

I think it's a fantastic product. I hit the thermometer against something to turn it on and throw it in the baby bath. It straight away tells me the temperature of the water and if it's too hot there's a little red flash on it. I use it constantly when I'm sorting out my daughter's bath. Before I got it I was nervous about getting the temperature right. I have also used it as a room thermometer to make sure that my living room isn't too hot. It's very accurate I have used it against other thermometers to check the accuracy. I've never had a problem with it and would definitely recommend to anyone. - Strengths:

We bought this for peace of mind when running our daughter a bath
It has a funky shape and now she’s a bit older she likes to hold this in the bath.

It’s a great little thermometer and is very accurate. My biggest and to be honest only issue with this is how you turn it on. To turn it on you have to bash the side against a hard surface (quite hard) and then the display comes up. Sometimes this can take a few tries. Apart from that though it does it’s job. - Strengths:

Very disappointed in this product it’s a typical tommee tippee product, overpriced and utter rubbish.
Loved it at first easy to use easy to try off after use. But after only a mere 4 weeks the water had gotten into the battery and it died. Bought new batteries but that didn’t help it’s completely had it. The amount they charge for this I expected to get a little more use out of it. - Strengths:

This thermometer is very useful all year round for parents with little ones. The British weather is always playing and mums like me sometimes get confused whether it’s too hot or too cold! This thermometer solves it all. With a gentle tap,it gets on and closes itself after showing the temperature for a couple of minutes which is really good as it saves battery. If you want peace of mind that your baby’s bath isn’t too hot then this is perfect. It has a warning light that flashes when the water is too hot and is simple to transfer from bath to room which I use it for both purposes. Loved this product for my daughter to test the bath water. Visually it is great as the red lights flash when it is too hot which means us multitasking parents can just peek in the bathroom whilst doing something else. It can sometimes be a little bit slow to adapt to colder when water is added st the opposite end to the bath. I also used this same device in the bedroom to check temperatures. This is a great little product, accurate readings of bath water temp and also takes temp of the room so you know your little one wont be cold when they get out the bath! Description
Tommee Tippee's Bath and Room Thermometer provides quick and accurate temperature readings to help keep baby safe and comfortable during bath and sleep time. Designed in the TT star shape, the thermometer is styled to suit your decor.
For babies the room temperature should be approximately 18°C while the optimal temperature for bath is at body temperature, between 36.5°C and 38°C.
- Gently tap the unit to activate the display and temperature will be displayed in a few seconds. The temperature can be displayed in fahrenheit or celsius.
- The LED warning light on the display panel will illuminate red when the water temperature is above 39°C and too hot for baby.
- Thermometer floats in the bath and is certified as a bath toy. The optimum temperature for baby's bath water is body temperature, between 36.5°C and 38°C.
