Even after referring step by step to the instructions I'm not certain I'm using this right. It seems to take a few attempts before giving an accurate temperature reading.

Description
The NUK 2 in 1 Baby Thermometer measures the temperature at both the ear and the temple with an infrared sensor which produces accurate results in seconds. They have also included an extra small measuring probe for tiny ears. The immediate fever warning is a LED light which glows red. The temperature reading is shown on the digital dispaly in °C or °F and saved, so that you can keep track of how the temperature evolves.
The NUK Thermometer is also ideal for measuring the temperature of bath water and baby food. It features an LCD display to show values including; room temperature display, mute mode and built in memory.
After each use, simply clean the probe head and sensor as instructed and allow to dry completely before next use.
